When I was a kid nearly 40 years ago I couldn't see the strings lol.
Because old school TV's had a much lower resolution. 480p or lower and also the old tube screens used dots instead of pixels. It made it easier for them to hide stuff like that in movies back then.

Mr Chambers did a rendition of this scene decades later. He had to limit his routine because he had foot surgery and age. Still got the moves.
Wow that broom with that side glide and then turn into that moonwalk with that elecctric beat especially during that time and era was Insane!! they need to make a documentary story of his life on netflix

Kids may think this is goofy these days but in the early 80s, kids weren't shooting up each other. We were trying to be the freshest kid and just have dance offs like in this movie. It was just a fun fun time, I can't even explain. We were definitely tired after a good session though. Awesome isht!

Come on people really like I’ve been hearing this string crap for years . What did people think this was so invisible magical movable broom . So why would this kind of scene be that fake and unrealistic with a broom just rising by itself . It makes more realistic Sense that he would have something to maneuver the broom because this is suppose to be real people .
