  • The Bible speaks often of God's faithfulness, but it can be hard to stand on those promises when we feel unworthy of God's love and faithfulness. How can we know that God will truly be faithful? Gordon discusses this and more on this week's Q&A segment.

    Ive secretly struggled with addiction for years,amongst other artistic gifts i was once a singer in church , i started to self isolate when i felt depressed ,i quit the choir ,i quit going to Church , because i felt like God didnt love me because im a bigtime sinner ..... i had this void that i started to fill with alcohol drugs pornography ,but it made me feel more empty , im a dancer as well and ive won big competitions and i thought that will fill this void ,after every accomplishment i thought i would quit my vices but i kept going back , everytime i would try to pray ,my inner voice would say "whats the point ,youre an addict ,God doesnt listen to people like you , you have to be clean first " .... and ive failed to clean myself for the past 4 years , ,i just broke down crying today and realised i need him , and im going to start praying to God again and reading his word , i know its going to feel weird for me at first but im just gonna keep going back to him ...... its either that or i will perish ...... I cant afford to break my addictions without him

      Thank you so much for sharing, friend! Your courage in sharing your struggles is commendable. Know that God's love is unconditional, and in your brokenness, His grace shines the brightest (Matthew 19:26). Your decision to turn back to Him is powerful, and as you pray and engage with His Word, know that you don't have to be perfect for His love. Lean on Him and allow His transforming love to work in your life. We're praying for you, trusting that with God, all things are possible, and you'll find strength and freedom in Him. Blessings! }

    We all must have a righteousness that exceeds anything we could ever produce through our own effort. That’s where Jesus enters! Failure to understand this truth is at the root of all feelings of guilt and condemnation. If we understand our right standing with God on the basis of what Jesus did for us, and not by our own actions, then the power to be condemned is gone. Those who live with emotions of unworthiness are not trusting in God’s righteousness but are looking to their own actions to obtain right standing with God.

    That's what I ask myself everyday. Because of what I'm going through, it feels like God has forsaken me. Overwhelming depression, suicidal thoughts, 2 attempts, and the constant thoughts of dead everyday when I wake up...

      God loves you deeply. More than you can ever know. Cling to His hand. He will walk with you in the pain. Trust Him with your pain.

    Although I love this conversation, I really would appreciate all this backed up by SCRIPTURE, otherwise its of no meaning. Please provide where God says this in the Bible.

    Jesus is coming back soon and He will not be judged or crucified this time. He comes to judge you. Will you be found wanting. Repent while you still can!
