I became a fan in late 2017 when I first heard Drive It Like It's Stolen. North Pole was so shockingly genuine and heartbreaking that it caught my attention like nothing else could. Their self-titled album is one of my favorite albums. When Groggs passed, it was the first time we lost a musician I had followed and felt a deep connection with. I only really became a fan of artists like Mac Miller too late to appreciate them while they were here, but I understood and felt Groggs' loss. Now I'm just happy to see that Ritchie and Parker are still moving forward and still making amazing music. All three of them have made a real impact in my life and I'm so thankful for their music. RIP STEPA J GROGGS.
I remember findin their self titled album in the Apple Music app durin my senior trip to Disneyland. I was lookin through newly released albums in the Browse section and it was the fifth record I saw while scrollin, needless to say the cover art with the green light beam pulled me in. I walked around the park with one of my best friends and on those long walks to the different rides we went on, I listened to all the songs on it over and over. It also helped distract me from the fact that I had a terrible rash on my legs from the heat cause imma bigger person with legs that’er close together, *and it’s California we’re talkin bout here, our weather is like if we lived in Satan’s asshole.*
From 'Whatever Dude' to a song like 'Superman That'.. it's been crazy witnessing their evolution in a relatively short span of time... in 5 and a half years they completely smashed through the underground rap internet scene, beat comparisons, and reinvented themselves with each project and tour they embark on. Been listening since LFTDO and let me just say, I knew they had it in them- (if that's a fair statement to make). They were too promising from the start to not to something magnificent. 🖤
I think they would have gotten a lot bigger in 2017 if brockhampton hadn't blown up at the same time, their sounds and especially their audience was pretty similar at the time and I think they kinda stole the attention, glad they did though it sent them into a more expiremental sound that eventually brought us bttigtp which I think is far better than any bh
My personal favorites of theirs are By The Time I Get To Phoenix and Live From The Dentist Office! I don’t know how that happened but it’s true. They’re both good at chill, breezy stuff, and wild experimental stuff! Love these guys
Nice video. IR is one of my favorite groups and this is a solid rundown. You mentioned you haven’t heard Depth Chart in full, it’s a fun little concept album, definitely worth a listen.
by the time i get to phoenix is fucking insane, rest in peace groggs
3 man weave is one of the best rap songs ever and you can fight me on that
I second this post, what a great track!!
I was too pretentious for some Migos, then Fonte made a song with Lil B tho

I listen to a lot of music. I've only ever given 11 perfect 100/100s, and By The Time I Get To Phoenix is one, it blew me away.
I love this smooth jazz radio

How dare you hype up Aminé knowing full well you’d punch him in the face if you had the chance. Shame. Shame.
You can hype up people you wanna punch, for example I’m on a podcast with both you and Lukeondemand
