Very interesting again. I’m always impressed with the cleanliness of everything no litter anywhere or anti social behaviour a real pleasure to work and live there I’m sure. Thanks again from U.K.
I can’t agree more. When I first arrived in Chongqing, I was so impressed by the tidy city, no chaotically parked shared bikes and no electric bikes passing through arbitrarily, for I live in Guangzhou the city in the south of China known as the city of electric bikes what I am fed up with. And I think there are fewer trees on the roads in Chongqing due to its narrow street downtown what makes it look more cyberpunk.
@@Mookie-Jones its a residential area, meaning old residential. so most of the people who live here are the city's elderly and thus, probably spending most of their time at home. Near the end they walk to the more popular and lively part of the city (though nowhere near as crazy as the main areas)
Thanks for bringing such cool tours. I already knew Chongqing through other channels I watched before, but I never cease to be surprised by one thing: it seems like the ground is never really beneath the soles of our shoes, right? 🤭 The ground is always several meters below, that's Chongqing. 😅 Is it a city in the mountains or in the clouds (?), persistent doubt. 🤔 Hahaha, cool. 💯
You are right actually. Chongqing is in the southwest of China surrounded by high mountains and it’s almost built on mountains. In the past people built their houses with the help of stilt.
I’m more intrigued by the comments here. I could never imagine living directly underneath a roadway. I’m not even sure if that would legal any place here in Canada.
So interesting, but how do ambulance/paramedics/ firemen access quick enough if there’s assistance required though? And the disabled how do they get around?
It is so realistic and immersive! I love the colors and tonality you managed to achieve. Looks like you do it very carefully and precise. What camera do you use? What is your process? LOG + LUT?
I wish I could live there... it´s so much more interesting than grey germany. It has so much texture, life, creative architecture... maybe in another life -.-
Hi wang's record.I have a question.Which are the alternatives for RUclips( video sharing platforms like RUclips) in china.can you please name them all.i only know xigua.I am asking this because there was a RUclips channel ( it's name was in chinese) it was uploading amazing drone videos of chinese cities beauty of nature of China. But suddenly that channel disappeared. The videos in that channel was just incredible.( I remember some video title like spring in Chengdu, spring in Chongqing, spring in Xian, spring in Hangzhou, Chengdu before universiade.i searched these titles on xigua but couldn't find those videos.)are there any video platforms like RUclips besides xigua.i really miss those videos.i have to find it.can you help me.
In China, there are bilibili, Youku, Sohu, Haokan Video, etc. I just searched for "成都的春天" on bilibili. There are indeed some beautiful aerial videos. You can search on bilibili. You may find what you are looking for.
@7:14 beautiful. @31:44 beautiful. All these old residential complexes look better than 95% of the new ones in China. The new ones have no personality and don't create beautiful spaces at street level. 这些老街区看起来比全国 95% 的新街区都要好。新街区缺乏特色,太多街道缺乏美丽的空间。
this is the "modern village" / Chinese ghetto feeling which i miss. We were poor, growing up in such place was really fun as a kid. Moving on, I was lucky, my life has gotten so much better now I am amongst those high earners in another first world country. Such ghettos are really interesting and I love to travel to these places, including my hometown. While one would visit there with smile on one's face, one must know the harsh reality of those residents there. It's hopelessness, poverty, never being able to retire without financial woes and minimal social mobility. Had i stayed in such place my entire life I know that I must have wasted my life. I always think about what I would do if I stuck there. Considering how miserable I am right now even though I have kind of made it, I thought of ending this trip to earth earlier. Regardless of that, I am still thankful to my parents for whipping my 2 elder sisters and myself when we were younger. Now we are doctor, manager and engineer. We are still middle class, but life is definitely much more comfortable now, hope our next generation can propel us to a greater height.
@@woomicky Well, to be fair, Argentina has some of the worst slums in the world. Just because, I dunno, Guangzhou slums or 63rd in Chicago are slightly better, they are by no means good. This also is not a Chinese slum. I lived in a Chinese slum, the buildings are similar but much more poorly kept and are usually positioned next to some open sewer. Violence isn’t too bad, but the smell is unbelievable
the dark side with clean streets, easy access to public transportation, metro system, world class infrastructure and abundant housing are you dumb or just american?
The buildings look old but the ground is neat. Paint and renovate all those buildings and take the powerlines underground and the place will look very differnt.
People seem to live in cages.... must be so depressing and inhumane. Just as well the birth rate is falling in China. Overpopulation is at the root of all misery.

중국 옛날식 아파트는 외관이 기괴하고 독특하다. 약간 교도소 같은 느낌도 든다~발전된 중국의 다른 건물들과는 겉도는 듯한 이질감이 드네.리모델링 했으면 좋겠다 😂
Some places have indeed been renovated, but there are fewer and fewer such old apartments and residential buildings, and many have been demolished.
This may be the "dark" side of Chongqing. I had the impression it was a futuristic city but this area looks poor.
Lol these people don't live in tent cities. They aren't homeless either like in the US 😂. This part is an old residential community
Not the dark side but old side
