I have been on the couch for the last 10 years due to the severe pain of fibromyalgia. Now at 67 I am doing whatever it takes to "get back". 5 months of walking almost everyday. Today I bought a bike. LOOKING GOOD!!
Will, another great video! Thank you for not just demonstrating how to do the exercises. Another great thing is the way you speak, tone and speed. Very understandable and very encouraging tone.
The Goblet squat is my 1st Strength exercise in a 3 days/week programme, after a fast walk warm-up. Excellent exercise, and Will explains it in the best manner possible.
I have found that standing with back against the wall, then placing a firm foam roller in the lumbar region, feet about 2 foot in front and then squatting down real slow. so that the foam roller rolls up the back to the trapezes is a GREAT leg exerciser. If done slow the burn is intense - the dual benefit is, the back gets a type of massage as you squat.
BRILLIANT! This is exactly what I was looking for! Not only will this help legs and core but also strengthen my arms. Thanks for explaining the correct execution slowly and in detail.
I started this exercise about 2 months ago and it has changed the way my legs look. Sometimes my knees hurt so I will back off from 15 to 10 sometimes. Great exercise. Thanks for your help!
I am 68 and do full squats to my heels with the dumbbell tucked beneath my chin vertically. Started about two months ago and it greatly helped improve my knee joint stability. Also, I do one leg eccentric toe raises (lowers actually). It cured residual gout pain in my feet.
Hiya Will. Any chance of doing some 20-30 minute full body workout videos with weights? I try to pick out various exercises from your videos, but get lost with the choice!
@@imjamming all squats are hard on ageing or arthritic knees. I am 65 with rheumatoid arthritis in my hands shoulders and knees and doing wall sits is beneficial for me. I also wear a weighted vest when I go walking. Again, this strengths my thighs and legs. Everyone should do the exercises that are beneficial but not dangerous or damaging.
Isometric exercises are not recommended for people with high blood pressure. I practiced static postures (Kung fu) for years but now, I do various squatting movements .
Just did 10 of these. Going to include in my daily routine. Love the comparisons with the.bar and barbells especially considering us over 50s. Great ! Thanks Will.
Awesome , thanks Will! I’ve been enjoying your videos for a few months now and found them all worthwhile and well done. Ps. My daughter says “he’s cute !! “ I don’t see it
Thanks Will, good sense & advice for us. Remember not to over push your limits, be careful & safe. I have done the exercises you have shown & man have they helped.

Wow! Been doing Sit to Stand for awhile. Even added your Balance version with eyes closed. Ready for a new challenge! Going to try this this week. Thanks
I'll definitely try to add this in. I recently got an initial full-body workout from a trainer when I joined a new gym which includes lower body inclined leg presses, leg extension, seated leg curl, abductors and adductor (machines). I do the full body workout two times a week in the gym, but I do a selection of home strength training exercises at home on a third day. I always check out your exercises since I'm 72. Thanks.
Thank you WH for the video for strengthening legs. The muscles in my legs and torso have become weak over the last 3 years due to lack of exercise, no swimming during Covid and losing 4 stone in weight. I also find it difficult to swim. I intend to buy your book and see if I can start a weekly routine to remedy this problem. I'll start with the legs!😂 Thank you. 8.20 pm 16/7.
I quite like the look of this Will. I can’t do much at the moment owing to Achilles tendon. But prior to my injury I was enjoying Deadlifts. Although a bit concerned eventually something would go twang at some point. This will be a good alternative, definitely looks safer. Thanks for posting 👍
