When this contract runs out, he'll be lucky to get transportation reimbursement from an NBA team, because I don't know a single franchise that would take him.

      @YungEmmakulata Год назад +14

      @@jerrowarro Nah, it was a big reason. Everyone catered to Ben and his wants for the most part. Jimmy came in and took the alpha role right away.
      When the playoffs came up, Brett Brown announced that Jimmy would be handling the ball instead of Ben. Strangely enough, this strategy worked as they were an overtime away from going the furthest ever in the playoffs during the 'Process' era.
      Ben wasn't happy. Elton Brand wanted to keep Jimmy Butler but everyone said otherwise. The rest is history.
      And if you're from Philly, you knew something felt "off" after the playoffs. Sixers fans thought it was a wrap that Jimmy was coming back. Then we started hearing weird rumblings. Then the sign-and-trade happened with the Heat and Tobias was resigned to that gotdamn horrible contract.

    can't believe Kenny is defending Ben having 0 points..even though he did have good ast and rebs. Ben is 6'10 and fast with handles like a guard. Sure he is not an efficient shooter, but shooting is just one way to score. There have been so many great scorers who weren't good shooters. The fact that Ben used to avg around multiple 16 ppg seasons means that he could do it. Slashing on top of floaters, runners, hooks, post ups, etc are all other ways to score on top of shooting. I know when people say it's a mental thing, it becomes a sensitive topic these days but sooner or later it's going to be a reflection on how bad Ben Simmons wanted to be great at the end of the day. He had all the tools and had a huge head start in greatness compared to Giannis when they both entered the league, but Giannis has always kept going forward no matter how many setbacks. Ben is still young and I hope he can fulfill his potential to be the best version of himself.

Giannis is my favorite player and I'm not a Ben Simmons fan, but wishing someone to be the best version of themselves does not translate to me making excuses for Ben. With Durant out, you can't have a starting player that plays as many minutes as Ben Simmons not score a point. You have to make up those points that Durant provided. It's embarrassing that a player of his caliber hasn't learn how to shoot the ball. This is clearly a mental hangup with him. And it will cost them in the playoffs if it continues.

    Ben Simmons would be the second best player on the Brooklyn Nets if they would just trade Nick Claxton for Miles Turner🙄
    Claxton inability to shoot gives his defender the ability to sag off him whenever Ben has the ball and clog the paint. And Ben being a pass first player is not about to take on two defenders. It’s been like this all season. That’s why his scoring numbers are so low
    Myles turner could be for Ben Simmons what Brook Lopez is for Giannis. A stretch center that provides spacing and allows him to attack and get easy buckets whenever he wants.
    Ben could easily average 20+ points 10+ rebounds and 10+ assist on this team if they made that trade
