5:25 (record scratch) (freeze frame) *Chuggaa:* This...is our Let's Play of Mario Party 6. You're probably wondering how it ended up in this situation.
Let's all give Emile a hand for this. Notice that some of the parts of this video didn't have sound effects but they did have music? Yeah, he edited that in. Notice how the minigames tutorials are static images? Yeah, he edited those in. Notice how the commentary and the game stay synced regardless of the countless frame skips? YEAH, HE EDITED THAT TOGETHER! I, for one, think that Chuggaa deserves a round of applause for making this board work. You sir, are the true winner of E. Gadd's Garage!
Everything you said and more my friend. To do this level of re-synced-audio editing, you often need to go frame by frame to find the skip, then match the audio to where it skipped to, AND THEN encode it to make sure the export didn't break it some how (which is less rare than you'd think when working with tons of small audio chucks mixed together). I had to do this for a old video at the public access station I did an internship at and it took me at least 36 hours of work time to do this for a 10 minute video, which they never used (>.
I give him a round of applause, but also a laugh because by reuploading and playing a new game of it, we get not only the hilarity of this game and the next, but also the glitched audio clips like at 24:58
Emile's Execution: Forced to listen to all his bad Wheel answers on loop, while having to record constant videos until he passes out from exhaustion Jon's Execution: Being forced to listen to Emile's puns until his ears explode while having to beat Kaizo Mario World, all livestreamed Tim's Execution: Being locked out of the bathroom
Chuggaa did an excellent job editing the corrupted video and the audio back together. Not just with resyncing the regular-speed video with the audio, but also editing the audio so it matches the glitchiness of the video *while* it's happening. That is *not* a quick or easy job, so PROPS to him.
Jon: Ask her where the talking Girafarig went! Tim: *speaks to Reggie, his shiny Marill, in Pokemon language; he translates it to Jon* She doesn't really wanna talk to you...
i feel bad for chugga. he tries so hard to supply us with a quality video but accidents like this happen, and all he can do is fix the audio but the video is too far gone. its ok, chugga, dont feel so bad about this. we still love u
I agree. I was honestly surprised when Emile put in the voice recording and all the text throughout the end of the video, but it made me kinda happy. Im not saying Emile doesnt usually edit his videos, cause I know he does and works hard, Im just not used to 'seeing' the editing :)
"...Then a new minigame popped up, it was a mic minigame, it was called "chainsaw of death" and i was the one player against peach, waluigi and yoshi and i was mario, i had a chainsaw and using the mic i had to say the name of the character i wanted to kill, so i said peach then HYPER REALISTIC BLOOD started flowing from Peach's corpse, i could not believe what i was seeing, but i kept playing killing the other 2, then instead or the usual "MARIO WON" it said "YOUR NEXT, YOUR DEAD" and the music started skipping, then it went back to the board, it was my turn to roll the die but noticed none of the other players were there, instead just a bunch of glitched models that resembled the corpses of the players i killed, i was horrified, i used a golden mushroom and got 6 6 6, the screen was glitching and skipping frames, it kept gitching to the point it was just a mess, i could not see what was happening in the game, but then, blood started flowing from my tv, i saw a foot come out and recognized it as marios foot, he had a chansaw and said "I TOLDA YOU, YOU WERE NEXT AND THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR TO PLAYING MY GAME" THEN A SKELETON POPPED OUT FROM MY BODY AND RAN AWAY, IT WAS SO SCARY GUYS"
"I bought the game for $10 from an old man at a flea market but something was strange. The disc had no artwork, only "Mario Party 6" written on it with a permanent marker. I didn't think too much of it, I just assumed it was burned to a blank disc and I was super excited to play it, being a Mario fan. I invited my friends Jon and Tim over to play but once we popped the disc into the GameCube, that's when weird shit started. Instead of the usual intro where Brighton and Twila argue over who is more impressive, the characters were standing in the middle of Hell and scary enough, Brighton and Twila broke the fourth wall and pleaded for us, the players, to end their suffering and even warned us to stop playing or he would get us too." Sorry if that sucks lol
He was trying to achieve QPU speed to get to a Parallel universe where Sticker Star was eschewed in favor of Luigi's mansion 3, but it still has some kinks
I just want to point out that I'm not mad about it like other people are. I've just seen people in the comments complain about it. People were mad after Jon destroyed MP 5 and how Jon got the guy to the statue in Dokapon. I like all 3 of them and I don't really care who wins, though it's nice to have a variety of winners.
Just wanted to give props to Emile for that synch fixing with the audio. That stuff is so easy to mess up and is a lot of work to get right, so the extra effort is appreciated.
Two heroic brothers, a foreign princess, a loyal partner, and a guy wearing eye-shadow. They scrambled around a sentient tree and toiled through a genius inventor's unusually large garage. In both adventures, the anti-hero has come out on top. Will the lousy protagonists make a comeback? Or has the man clad in purple already secured the victory?
You know, personally I'm glad you kept this recording. Even if the entire recording of something was glitchy part of the TRG is how you all interact. And hearing things, sometimes without/less context can be hilarious. Either way, I hope you don't have to worry about this again.
I like to think that the glitches in this video were caused by E. Gadd's video streaming device breaking, and that the entire garage later gets blackouts. Alternatively, I like to think that E. Gadd was doing a virtual reality Mario Party simulator gone horribly wrong, with Daisy, Waluigi, and Yoshi being his testing dummies.
Monokuma's nighttime message in the first game "Mm, ahem, this is a school announcement. it is now 10 pm. As such, it is officially nighttime. Soon the doors to the dining hall will be locked and entry at the point is strictly prohibited"
Disappointed that Luigi came in last after all that, but this ending was still so good! And great job to Emile at preserving this footage as best as best as possible!
I love how on the last turn even without game audio, and they edited in all the specific musics from all the different scenes, super impressive guys keep up the amazing quality.
Chugga referenced Monokuma and then proceeded to talk about his bad Wheel of Fortune guesses... Yeah, he's definitely aware of the all the despair we suffer from those.
Skeeter Mania Like he said, the series is called Danganronpa and the full title of the specific game he was referring to is "Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc".
Wow, that was a really intense game of Mario Party. In fact, both boards have been really eventful and interesting. Maybe that's why MP6 is my favourite game of the bunch.
I've watched this so many times but this is the first watch through I've heard Tim say "it goes to two people" right before the action star gets given out. He knew, and joined in on the freak out because his friends were having fun! Tim is awesome! (So are the other two guys, of course!)
Just a heads up for everyone who has not played this particular Mario Party: If you use cumulative stats to track how well everyone does overall, that doesn't really work here because the remaining 4 boards all have different means of getting stars rather than the usual format, and in the next 2 especially it is actually pretty easy for at least one player to have double-digit stars while another only has 1-3. The total stats are still cool in terms of minigames, orb-use, and happening space luck, but it doesn't mean much as far as star count is concerned.
Chugga, you did such a good job salvaging what you could of the video! Thank you for breaking the fourth wall to let us know what was going on. I always enjoy when you do that.
It's so refreshing watching this after Mario Party 5 cause I like that one, you all seem to be enjoying yourselves this time. Even though the ending was the exact same as every other board, this was the most I've ever enjoyed watching one of your Mario Party boards. I love how close it was and how into it all of you got
1. Crazy ending Disappointed Tim didn't win 2. Thank You Emile, Tim, and Jon for keeping this because in the end must of been the best moment of Mario Party 6 so far or even in this LP 3. I'm excited for another run of E Gadd Garage
good job chugga with the skips u really did a good job. it is a real terrible shame that this happened to such a amazing game. I mean its cool that u will do this board again. Im more mad about the skips happening because i think of the camera being a ass but great job chugga
It's incredible how much extra effort emile puts into editing, not only re-syncing audio on every glitch, but also stopping to tell us what's up directly, when most people would just choose between "throw away recording" and "upload with glitchs and a warning about glitches in video description"
VanguardPlays I dunno about that. It sounded like Emile just discarded the in-game audio and kept the commentary and bits and pieces of the footage, then overlaying audio files of the game's soundtrack over it. I think he also may have recycled footage from Jon's victory in the last board or taken audio and visual from other sources. That, or somehow that part was stable the whole way through up until the results.
VanguardPlays No, what he did was impressive, but I think the middle took a lot more editing magic than the last part since the latter was mostly stills at that point.
The Danganronpa reference made me realize how terrifying it would be to play mario party against Nagito. The amount of luck involved in this game....such despair it brings between friends
I mean, you kinda get to see that in the anime with the various Nintendo knockoffs they play in one of the episodes. Which is hilarious, and I love it. 😂
Skeeter Mania It was only a minute into the video. It was the line, "It is now 10PM which means its officially nighttime. Soon the doors to the dining hall will be locked and entry at that point is strictly prohibited." Danganronpa is a murder mystery visual novel game on PS Vita, PS4, and Steam. Basically, it is like Phoenix Wright but with high school students who are kidnapped by a evil teddy bear and are forced to kill each other. It is a very Japanese game but it is really good. I'd recommend looking into it.
Chugga, just want to say that you did a fantastic job with presenting the footage available and the ending was well worth it. Getting the audio to synch must have been a nightmare, and I want to say it's well appreciated.
It's nice of you all to offer to redo this board later. I can tell you put a lot of effort into making this video look as good as possible despite the technical difficulties. Still a very exciting conclusion. Thanks for your hard work.
Pretty sure Chugga's already done non-Nintendo system games. Also, there's Castle Crashers, pretty sure that was on Xbox. Oh yeah, and there's the LBP games, that's PlayStation.
Hey Emile, You did a great job covering the rest of this. Even when the game audio stopped being usable, you spliced in the soundtrack, and I didn't even notice for a couple minutes, and your little text additions to keep us up to speed were also a nice touch (like "New Totals" on the results screen). Dealt some pretty bad footage corruption, you handled it very well. Props, dude!
Can anyone here appreciate just how much Emile tried to save this recording by replacing the audio with OST from the game and such? I mean jesus christ, it must've taken so much time in editing for just one stupid error!
Thank you for doing such a great job with the skips btw Emile. I could imagine it must have been very, *very* hard and frustrating to deal with. Really sad it had to happen to quite possibly the most legendary ending of a game of Mario Party on this channel (besides good 'ol Bowser's Magma Mountain), but now I'm really sad for the rematch, because I know it can't turn out this well!
29:42 Emile: Orb star goes to... Tim: It's me, guys. Watch out. Emile: That last minigame might have actually decided it. (Orb star goes to Yoshi) Tim: YEEEEEAAAAAHHH!!!! HOLY MACKEREL!!!! That was gold!
Really glad you guys gave us this. This was amazing. I pretty much always root for Jon in these and I honestly had given up hope just like he had. I was sure Chugga or Tim had won this one. Holy Hell that was incredible. XD
Personally, i think it's lame that in this game in a duel you can force your opponent to bet a star while you only have to bet 40 coins. Since there is no coin star anymore that feels less of a pressure for the person betting the coins. And even if the other person wins, he doesn't win a star even though he was forced to bet a star. I think the old "either both go for coins or both go for stars" was more exiting.

Knowing Chuggaa, I'd definitely wager he'd be filled with hope.
I just wished Chugga would randomly pause videos to provide a fourth-wall-breaking monologue more often

"RAWR, THE CORRUPTION MADE ME AN ANGRY SUN". That made the video way better.
Spencer Burnheimer When in the video was that said?
Emile edited in the correct music for everything. My heart! He's so precious. Thank you, Emile.
1:11
And here I thought Emile couldn't get me to be a fan of his any more than I already was.
The ending was like Plumber's Don't Wear Ties with the choppy slides, doesn't really matter though, this was a great game!
good job chugga with the skips u really did a good job. it is a real terrible shame that this happened to such a amazing game. I mean its cool that u will do this board again. Im more mad about the skips happening because i think of the camera being a ass but great job chugga
I always like to imagine that this board got so tense that even the capture was getting overhyped and started short-circuiting.
"These are going to be the biggest 3 turns in the history of Mario Party" "I don't know what's going on" "And then it just goes 'blip' and goes away"
It's incredible how much extra effort emile puts into editing, not only re-syncing audio on every glitch, but also stopping to tell us what's up directly, when most people would just choose between "throw away recording" and "upload with glitchs and a warning about glitches in video description"
Even when they aren't playing Wheel of Fortune,
Emile can still come up with his dumb answers
Can't wait for Mario Party 7!!!
Next board is Faire Square... the stream memories come back
Brandon Ally Plot twist, they just upload the stream proper.
I'd love it if Chugga picked a different character for the board so that Daisy could be an AI on Hard
Your capture card is lousy!
this episode must have been difficult to edit at the end
VanguardPlays I dunno about that. It sounded like Emile just discarded the in-game audio and kept the commentary and bits and pieces of the footage, then overlaying audio files of the game's soundtrack over it. I think he also may have recycled footage from Jon's victory in the last board or taken audio and visual from other sources. That, or somehow that part was stable the whole way through up until the results.
give him credit with what happened it was etehr that or discard it all together
VanguardPlays No, what he did was impressive, but I think the middle took a lot more editing magic than the last part since the latter was mostly stills at that point.
The Danganronpa reference made me realize how terrifying it would be to play mario party against Nagito. The amount of luck involved in this game....such despair it brings between friends
I'm legitimately curious to see how a game of Mario Party with Nagito would turn out. Since a lot of crazy stuff would probably happen! XD
He would win Game Guy
God, could Nagito even lose a game of Mario Party?
@@pikapals41 Well Nagito has a specific luck cycle. He would probably win game guy one turn and land on Bowser the next.
I mean, you kinda get to see that in the anime with the various Nintendo knockoffs they play in one of the episodes. Which is hilarious, and I love it. 😂
Did Chugga just reference Danganronpa? Respect.
With what line? And what is Danganronpa?
Skeeter Mania It was only a minute into the video. It was the line, "It is now 10PM which means its officially nighttime. Soon the doors to the dining hall will be locked and entry at that point is strictly prohibited."
Danganronpa is a murder mystery visual novel game on PS Vita, PS4, and Steam. Basically, it is like Phoenix Wright but with high school students who are kidnapped by a evil teddy bear and are forced to kill each other. It is a very Japanese game but it is really good. I'd recommend looking into it.
Apollo Dawn Opinion, m8.
Plus keep in mind that I've never played a single Phoenix Wright game.
Skeeter Mania Are you asking about my opinion of Danganronpa?
Edit: *Never mind ignore this comment. Lol*
I really do appreciate the absurd amount of effort that goes into editing these videos.
I couldn't even see the duel between jon and tim properly, but boy I was rooting so hard for Tim
Chugga, just want to say that you did a fantastic job with presenting the footage available and the ending was well worth it. Getting the audio to synch must have been a nightmare, and I want to say it's well appreciated.
Chugga with the danganronpa reference
It's nice of you all to offer to redo this board later. I can tell you put a lot of effort into making this video look as good as possible despite the technical difficulties. Still a very exciting conclusion. Thanks for your hard work.
Holy mother of enoshima! Emile likes Danganronpa! Is this a sign he may play it one day?
Don't ever say that again. Also, not likely.
banna_ells He's already played it so it's not blind, and he doesn't do blind visual novel LPs on his channel.
Unless they port Dangan ronpa to a Nintendo system, no.
Pretty sure Chugga's already done non-Nintendo system games.
Also, there's Castle Crashers, pretty sure that was on Xbox.
Oh yeah, and there's the LBP games, that's PlayStation.
What do both of those have in common?
Oh right they aren´t in his channel, they are in TRG.
See, Gadd, this is why you don't capture Missingno!
yes we get it, chuggaa made a danganronpa reference
Hey Emile,
You did a great job covering the rest of this.
Thank you for putting the BGM at the end of the video, I could only imagine what the actual audio feed sounded like...
Chuggaa as Monokuma... my life is complete.
29:58 anyone notice Tim said “it goes to the two of you” and he was right
29:42 Emile: Orb star goes to...
Tim: It's me, guys. Watch out.
Emile: That last minigame might have actually decided it.
(Orb star goes to Yoshi)
Tim: YEEEEEAAAAAHHH!!!! HOLY MACKEREL!!!!
That was gold!
I object to this unfair treatment of boos by putting them in cages. Boos are a free-range species. They need room to *run* *away* from you *guys.*
Blue_Boo I mean those were fences, not cages. Also odd that these Boos run away from Mario & co. Generally, it's the other way around.
Thank you for uploading this despite the recording issues, that was incredible.
