Imagine a anti-war-movie ending with the protagonist getting shot and rescued, transported back to his home-country, just so he / she can see his / her family once again and then just dying. Sad as f but it would fit for a anti-war-movie.
The MBTI this song was typed as was a INFJ, no wonder the lyrics fit so well to how I feel. The understanding of the world around us can be short-lived. We live day by day, taking into account how we can change or matter in this small world. These important matters drive us into only thinking about ourselves. For the INFJ, especially the unhealthy version, we find it hard to see how others matter anymore in the world. The shutting door method allows us to cut ties with people who we don't find worthy of wasting our times on. But our connection and fascination for people does not end. We build a defensive mechanism into protecting ourselves by seeing ourselves as superior, condescending others and seeking power in self-worth. My personal experience at least has made me feel this way, but as we get better, our love for this strange world grows. Life goes on, you can live in bitterness, or enjoy what we can grasp in years.
