Hope this is not too late, but KZ's bass player is Karel Honasan. He's really one of the most sought out bass players by different local artists in the Philippines. Also, Filipino languages has a ton of Spanish words borrowed. It's a history thing, we were under Spanish rule from around 1600's til the end of 1800s? Not sure.

Michael and KZ has quite a lot of performances on the wish bus all of which are commendable. KZ is singing in Filipino not Spanish. The wishbus is based in the Philippines thus most artists performing there are Filipinos, from time to time they do get foreign guests. On the basis of your background as a classical guitarist I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you react to BEN&BEN, they're an indie folk/folk pop band, they've got quite a few wishbus performances as well. It's Filipino/Tagalog. But our language has a Spanish influence so that is why you're hearing somewhat spanish..
