My 42 year old KitchenAid classic tilt top bit the dust. Repairing it would have cost almost as much as a new mixer. I make everything from scratch…everything! Over the last several years I have switched to milling my own wheat berries and using only 100% whole wheat flour ground right in my kitchen. It was just too much for my trusty Classic. I bought the 7 qt after lots of research and can’t wait to start using it.
I have wanted one for years and having a hard time finding one as far as a 6 qt. I would love to have a certain color as well but I am lucky to find a 6 qt. at all it seems all I can find are the smaller ones but I don't want that size. They are highly desirable but seems there are not many to purchase :( I have two different ones I am looking at and the choices are silver and red... :( for that amount of money you would think the colors would be there
I got a 6-quart lift in empire red. Found it reconditioned on eBay. It's a bit much for most of my use, but I have a mid-seventies Sunbeam Mixmaster that does just fine when i don't need the horse.

I just got #3 today in white with glass bowl! I have a 5qt which is amazing but too big and heavy for me.
I think 5.5 lift up mixer is the new champion it has 11 speed starts at 1/2 speed,
I’m planning will buy one more in the further.

Kitchen aid won’t honor the warranty if you do bread dough higher than a two or for two minutes at a time.
Read 4.5 qt 300 watts more reliable.
Don't order it directly from Kitchen Aid they don't deliver it in a timely manner and they don't sell parts anymore.
I just ordered mine from KitchenAid today ugh lol. They don’t have the color I want on any other site though.
