Guys, this remix is absolutely amazing and fits well for the mood of the current Yehat event, henceforth "Years Late Mix" describes their values, culture, and tragedy due to their queen's bad influence on the race for many years. There's nothing terrible about the smooth crescendoing intro towards the real main theme as if you'd think of it with the "doesn't fit like the original" excuse. *** SPOILER ALERT *** In my opinion, the opening part of this remix is about Yehat's peaceful status (0:35) until they are defeated as one of the Alliance of Free Stars members, causing the queen to join the wrong side, the Hierarchy battle thralls (1:49), especially their beloved Shofixti's suicide attacks whom she neglected. Then they have rebelled against their queen after the Captain helped Shofixti reborn (2:33), alas starting their revolution against the Queen and the royalists (3:39). In the end, the rebels won (4:12) and joined the Captain with Pkunk against Ur-Quan. (4:38) The New Alliance of Free Stars have destroyed the big precursor Sa-Matra, also known as the symbol of Ur-Quan dominance, and the Yehat live in peace once again. (4:51)
I love this! I remember people bitching in the comments on the original website about not enough bag-pipes. To them I say BAH! It might have been nice to include those in this, but it also could have very easily ruined it.

Oooooohhhh there's so many Layers (Textures) in certain Parts of this! at 0:50 for about 20 Seconds there's an aroma of sound & it really has been Mixed & Mastered to perfection. And let me just say now that THAT is something VERY Rare on you tube. I'm guessing FL Studio with either Sony Acid, or Reason 3. OR then again, the end is full of effects & Fill ins Galore! The Vocals are fighting a bit but still, It's very well done.

During install "The Ur-Quan Masters" 6.2.0 you must change to "Modern Remixes"! That works for me man :) I had those remixes in my installation file! That is all that I remember! :)
So I am super late to the comment section, but while this remix slaps it doesn't fit the Yehat as a war... Bird species. Feels more like something that'd fit the title of "space hero/explorer" and it isn't very reminiscent of the original.

Just listened the original and the original themes are perfectly clear in this remix as well. You just have to listen to this more than 1min. The original is really awkward and boring when compared to this. Good job =)

I think a lot of the negative reaction is because of how LONG it takes to start up to the theme we remember.
