It's a little sad that today this game would be a "trigger" for overly sensitive audiences. I'm Asian and I basically said "Meh," with the obvious references with the Shofixti. And don't even get SJWs started with the Syreen.
"The pain and suffering at this useless conflict are nothing but a tragic waste of life. Congratulate yourself, captain, the source of all this death and misery is yourself" Moral consequence in games, never made this heart-rending.
"Now _you're_ complimenting me unnecessarily. All I did was let them know that the Shofixti were restored. They decided on their own that the illusion of perfection wasn't worth their freedom."
i just thought this was a game my friend recommended me... but after playing and seeing the circles of influence start moving....."ok this is something more"
Scottish space pterodactyls .. yup , "Cause if it's not Scottish...IT'S CRAP !" When you remember that quote and the emotion behind it kind of makes sense that they have their accent , I mean they did foster the Shofixti, and their ship is VERY powerful if commanded properly. So I'll sum it up like this to paraphrase : "If it's not Alliance , IT'S CRAP!" (Just picture a Yehat commander saying that instead of me. )
Or as the Pkunk would say, when the Pkunk left the Yehat homeworlds it was a traumatic experience. It's not so easy to forgive people for abandonment and possibly violence/rioting even after so many years. The Pkunk are well aware that the Yehat are still frustrated with them, but post-rebellion the situation is likely to improve as both sides get more used to each other. The Yehat are expansionist after all. The Pkunk betraying them so long ago would no doubt be seen as unforgivable. The two peoples reuniting is just the start of reconciliation.
Not even in 2024 does one of the awesome space games (no man’s sky) have aliens that will have a conversation with you like this.. no man sky although has given us lots of free updates & I love them for that, but come on the game has been out since 2016 and not one verbal word has ever been spoken in that game. I mean what video games don’t have talking in it in today’s world
I love how the guy talking is just having mental breakdown and the guy in the back is like, "HAHA I HIT BUTTONS!"
Ahaha lol. You made me noticed this and now it be no unseen for me
Scottish Pteranadons...How is this Game not declared the Greatest Game Ever?
It's a little sad that today this game would be a "trigger" for overly sensitive audiences. I'm Asian and I basically said "Meh," with the obvious references with the Shofixti. And don't even get SJWs started with the Syreen.
This should be played on GT live.
Not enough people are familiar with it.
@@jt4369 You want a party for that? this game can't offend anyone, is a masterpiece.
it was up there in the ranks for the longest time.
I NEVER envisioned them with Scottish accents! These guys were geniuses.
The voice acting in this game is absolutely perfect.
What is interesting, it was done by non-professional actors
@@klepikovmd Then clearly, they were people who *loved* the universe they were crafting.

Oops.
"Look at the furred muzzle, those shining black eyes, the sweet claws!! ♥♥"
My quote exactly when I see my pet gerbils!
The disgust in his voice when he says "Spathi"! :P This game is hillarious.
The Yehat theme sounds so fitting. It is a proud song but with lines vengeance-revenge workout montage of paybacking the injustice.
1:55 This line always gives me chills.
A lot of planets have a north.
+BugPope You're right about that doctor
Any planet with a molten core should.
There is an yehat royalists dialogue before the revolution if you go to their homeworld where the queen is.
The way 4:34 synced with the music made for a very powerful quote.
Well Yehat are honorable warriors and the Scotts were very honorable. perfect fit
Their emotional lines always make my eyes red of a tears...
... Those dudes didn't like the Pkunk too well.
That changed later, however.
It's like asking Orz about the Androsynth, they both flip out.
They would make GREAT drinking buddies!! Such honor!!
I love these guys, I spent so much of my time earning their trust
3:30
Well, that esalated quickly xD
Superb voice acting.
The most badass species' theme song from the game, IMHO. Well, the Thraddash motif was pretty good, too.
they had the most powerful starship pointwise. yehat terminators were no joke.
Best Voice Acting ever!
Thraddash I liked better.
this video sends shiver down my spine every time i see it. best voice acting ever indeed.
Man, the Spacewars spiritual sequel sure has a lot of personality!
I love the Scrooge McDuck voice.
lol
They arrived from Scotland
i just thought this was a game my friend recommended me... but after playing and seeing the circles of influence start moving....."ok this is something more"
This voice acting is pretty dang good. Nice! I guess I'll have to play UQM with the 3D0 voices.
Yehats have you seen my Scottish crew members because you really had no honor before that revolution also I blew up the first yehat vessel.
Scottish Space Pterodactyls...awesome :)
Bearing the clan names, I'm starting to think that the Quib-Quib (refer to Mass Effect 2) might have a former Yehat ship...
This is the reference for much older Saberhagen Berserker series
oh... so this is the species of the Conductor from A Hat In Time.....
lol
Me: dying of laughter
...
1:04 Wow, I've never hit this particular dialogue fork, but now I want to!
The Yehat are warmachines but they are so funny
cc line: in an I'm to ship I clear violation to be able to feel(real) and yer presence outside the slave shield, and in an armed starship...
Scottish space pterodactyls .. yup , "Cause if it's not Scottish...IT'S CRAP !"

Yehats have a voice of Scots :D
Yehat: "The Revolution has begun!!"
Me: "Oops..."
no true scotsman.
Lies! They ARE the true scottsman!
3:24 LOL
Never knew Ridley was Sco’’esh.
If yer reflexes be fast, then the Yehat be the ship to bring ye victory.
SCOOOTLAAAND FOOOREEEEVEEER
FRIDOM
Trying to mimic the movements of the Yehat in the back makes for some terribly awkward typing.
"Yur-quoan"
I’m glad I played the original dos game without voices.
Sounds kinda like Dexters from Dexters lab.
Pretty much correlates with the rest of the game then
LOLL OMG THE YEHATS ARE SCOTTISH
The yehat still hate pkunk even they joining rebellion. Fighting against the Veep neep queen and her royalist
Why?
They still see them as weak and embarrassing.
