TBH, I have to agree with you Keem, Apologies are for the Weak is a GOATED metalcore album, definitely one of my top of all time. This one is good but yeah, the mixing sounds off and those dank guitar riffs are quiet.
To me the guitar/ guitar riffs breathe so much more here than on the original, everything sounds like it has space to live without sounding muddy, the screams sounds different but thats how it is. I'm glad they rerecorded it with lots of features while still having the original to jam to. Same album, different sound but same enjoyment
Mix is thicc man. Deff to taste for sure. I enjoyed it more because of the modern iterating on the og metalcore sound. I'd have preferred a fully modernized rendition, but I like what they went for with this.
It's not only a remaster, but a rerecording, i guess kudos for that to make it sound different enough and not like every remaster. It should be fun to listen. Let's hope Drop Dead Gorgeous do something similar now that they're back
As one of my all time favorite this album is so good. The original though was all sampled sounds by Joey Sturgis which is sick but this just feels more raw to me which I love. Thoughts?
it sounds like a modern 2020 take. Those 10's riffs were literally a phase. I heard it in every fucking album from every band that my class was banging.
TH E CLEEEEEANS THOUGH BAAAAAAAAAABYYYEEEE!!! I agree i prefer the original. BUT kudos to them for trying to bring it back. This album got me through a lot of shit real talk. KEEP IT UP KEEEEEEM
I know I’m a month late but you’re both I think you’re both right. The guitar tone is so much better on this new one but the mix is worse. It’s better and it’s worse
Miss may I and memphis may fire on the bus ride to high school in 2010-2012 some of the best years of my life
At like, 7am too waiting on that fucking bus.

Still one of the greatest choruses ever
Bumping the original mix with some good ear buds back in day, early in the morning, full volume, was absolute insanity.
I agree. The mix seems rough. I love the original so much.

thumbs down for sympathy bait ps your band is the worst thing I've ever subjected myself to listening to.
Need you on that new reminitions bruh shit goes straight dummy heavy
The guitars sound more raw, less production. I fuck with this
They need to re release with a better mix and Keem on cleans. What a performance @2:15
Keem, why they didn’t choose to feature you for the clean chorus is beyond me. 😂
Am I tripping or was that who wants to be a millionaire interlude music hard as FUCK?
The mix on the original is perfect, this… not so much
More recs because im bored :3

Please react to 156 / Silence - better written villain . A real sick song. Greetings from Germany

Original is better, not gonna lie. The guitars sound so muddy
Blinded by nostalgia
@@nicmendz nah, just facts that at some points you can barely hear the guitars
@@Jasper-Holland the original was released when the band was a bunch of high schoolers using old tech, this one certainly sounds like it can breathe
@@nicmendz thats your opinion, so thats fine

Utterly atrocious mix. How do you do a re-record 15 years later and make it sound significantly worse than the original?
