- Its time for another 4bs cruise adventure this time were heading onto P&O cruises Iona. This cruise on the fantastic Iona we heading to northern Europe and we going embrace and show the fun and excitement of a cruise embarkation day on P&O cruises Iona.
In this video we show the embarkation process as we head onboard P&O Iona from the ocean cruise terminal in Southampton. We show you what to expect from this cruise check in process.
Its then onto Iona to discover this wonderful ship. We head to buffet for lunch before heading to our Iona balcony cabin to find out what it looks like. Its Iona sail away from Southampton which we capture before heading to Iona MDR for dinner before glimpse at the exciting Iona entertainment in the skydome.

Nice and straightforward embarkation, not always the case for me at Southampton.

You mentioned on previous video your kids hardly used kids club, is this unusual for them on cruises or was it something they disliked about the P&O Iona ship? I have a kid that will be 4 when traveling almost 5 and I hope uses kids club! Also do you know anything about how easy or hard it is to book time on P&O Iona kids club, we are traveling on Arvia in April. Great video by the way

Not going to kids club this time for Alice our ten year old was unusual. She loves P&O kids club and made some great friends on our Ventura cruise and wanted to go every session! Ernest our 8 year it’s personal thing, he is determined not to like it, for no reason! 🤣 No Reflection on kids club, we try every time!
This cruise,time just ran away with us as we did so much, when on arvia in May I imagine Alice will live in there (and Ernest our third wheel)
I would say p&o kids club is one of best just be prepared it can be a bit hectic on first two days as kids are registered but then it all calms down over two weeks. Have great cruise

On Iona or Arvia what drinks can you get for free in the main dinning room with table service for free is you don't have a drinks package? eg Water, Squash (Codial), Coke, Coffee? Sorry may be a silly question but going on my first cruise next month with Arvia and trying to decide on drinks package.
So at breakfast juices and tea coffee are included, in the evenings no drinks are included just water, you can get tea and coffee from the Buffett at any point in the day. Personally we feel that p&o are very good value where drinks are concerned and similar prices to any pub so drinks package wasn’t worth it, also you can take onboard as many soft drinks as you like and 1l of wine or spirit.
Single parent here booked for Arvia in a couple of weeks, with a 4 year old (Will turn five three weeks after we return from cruise). Is it true that a parent needs to be present with children in the splashers club for 2-4 year olds. I just read this now somewhere? So disappointed if this is true as I booked it so I would have an hour or two each day where I knew my child would be safe without me.
Hi Paul, this was in place during covid but is now back to normal so you will be able to drop off and pick up when sessions end, you can enjoy a few hours 🙂 night nursery is also in operation you just need to book by 9pm then night before. Hope this helps. Have a fab cruise .
@@cruisingwiththe4bs I called P&O directly yesterday and they did understand my concern of what I had read on the small print in the frequently asked questions part available when registering child for club pre cruise. They called me back today and said 2-4 year olds are allowed in Splashers Club unsupervised and apologised for conflicting information on their site.
@@paulireland5761 it’s not the first time p&o don’t update the website, naughty really as causes anxiety before the cruise. Glad it’s sorted now.
