I've ordered a 500c controller, a programming cable and put the app on my phone already.

Speed is usually determined by 3 hall effect sensors located in the hub motor to detect rotation and speed. I'm working on a project to fool the controller into thinking that it's going slower than it is, then fix the signal for the display so it reads the correct speed. I might release it as a product in the future if it works well.

This is something i found out today thought my ebike was proper unlocked, but it wasn't you need to change settings on display 💯👍.
