Also taking away guns does not mean an equal amount of stabbing. Do u know how much harder it is to stab someone than to shoot them? Also many stabbing don’t end in death.
America has more knife murders per capita than the UK. You say they don't happen in America because they're so rare in comparison to shootings but maybe that will give you some food for thought

Knife deaths per 100,000 is 0.6 in the US and 0.08 in the U.K. the reason knife crime figures look higher in the U.K. is because it’s illegal to walk around with one so having one outside is a crime whether you use it or not that’s not the case in the US so the U.K’s knife crime figures are inflated. You’re 7.5x more likely to be killed by a knife in America and 4x more likely to be murdered in general. You also have double the suicide rate because of people having guns in the home. Guns are too ingrained in your culture to ever remove so I actually agree that if you did it would just leave criminals with them but the pro gun side need to stop using the U.K. knife statistics as an excuse not to get rid of them as it’s a bad argument
