The constraint creation at 21:28 didn't work for me at first, had to set the "fixed Position" of the Extrude_001 to "true" before that. Otherwise the error "The highlighted parts were not moved. They are not constrained (also over constraint chains) to a fixed part!" was appearing and the constraint wasn't working.
Same problem with me. The FreeCAD version is 0.20.1. I found the solution. 1) Click the Extrude_001 2). Find the 'fixed Position' property in 'import Part'. 3) Change the value from false to true. Then everything works fine.

I'm finding playing around with attributes is Educational especially when you appear to have a difficulty. Often You'll solve it Yourself. FreeCAD has a lot of information to absorb. Especially for Neophytes like Myself. Additionally I discovered deleting all my failed constraints from each object, reorienting the Sphere so that its Radius Line was 90 Degrees to the Extrude Channel I was able to get both Point & Line Constraints to take First Try. As I've mention up the blog, reorienting views, shapes and clearing failed Constraints/ variables can make a big difference. Going into the Data & View Panels would appear to be a Form of programming the various Objects, Methods on Operations on Object and the like. Steep but interesting. Keep sharing solutions and work around you'll be surprised who they'll help.
One allows you to add the individual shapes from a project. The other allowed you to add a part which is a collection of shapes. For example if you build a assembly in A2Plus then this can be added as a part to your currently assembly so you can create sub assemblies and join them together.
At 9:51 I had a lot of difficulty getting the Point Constraints tp take and align. After Working back through the Shape Importation process onward I got it First Time. Something I have noticed in FCAD is that often approaching selection of Point and or Faces/ Edges (In any variety of Work Benches) in a different order or from a different viewpoint will work where a previous did not. I'm pretty sure I'm not imagining this. Is this possibly a selection sensitivity issue? I remember another Tutor mentioning You can adjust Mouse preferences to enhance Selection. No Complaints FCAD has some idiosyncrasies like everything else. Programmers cant allow for every possible combination of selections/ options. As always learning lots, Freecad forum also has some very helpful people but keep it to the point and know what you are asking for help on. Programmer Types tend to be very to the point. :-) RW In closing I'm starting to see reoccurring Themes (especially in Constraints with Geometry this Tut). Also seeing Techniques I could utilize in Aero Modelling Design. Keep 'em comin' Darren. Also noticed in the Last Exercise Deletion of unsuccessful Constraints, I think that may have been part of My Previous problem? Lastly I now remember something about selecting Left to Right,? these are the little things that can make it difficult.
Using latest version of Freecad. When I go to import the file, I can't see any files even if I select "any format". I have to close Freecad, reopen and then import eah time. I am using latest Windows 10 too. Just wondering if it happens to others?
