Jacob been watching you for years . It’s funny as soon as I get a general Forman spot in pa , you come to pa . You’re by far one of the best climbers on RUclips and most definitely the most enjoyable to watch . After you started you’re new channel I know it was hard for you man but dude you’re kicking ass and I hope a valuable arborist like yourself finds true happiness.

You are a true TREE LEGEND! That is such a funny story of you flying out to them and working with them on their tree project to then having you be dropped off in a bucket truck at the airport! What a cool story man! Loved it.

I am SO HOOKED on GoT! I just found your channel a month ago, and I've been binge watching ever since. Or as my wife probably thinks by now, CRINGE watching... but she sometimes asks me questions about what's on screen, so I know she thinks you'e cool too! I just finished watching all three episodes of your Pennsylvania adventure.
It's AMAZING what you do, Jake. Sometimes I get dizzy watching you way up in the trees so seemingly effortlessly in your Left Coast videos. This one was different, and very entertaining. I am rather scared of heights, and seeing you just climb so high is thrilling.
Mike and his crew seem very professional and good to work with. Their equipment is just immaculate, which is amazing. I LOVE seeing the crane work... it's all just so clean and efficient - removing huge trees large bites by large bite and leaving nothing. It's almost like surgery how clean everything is in those operations... although I also really enjoy watching you crash big limbs to the ground in the woods out west.
Please keep up with the videos, Jake. You are awesome, and you are providing some very high quality entertainment for this old man.

Absolutely loved watching you work on "our" trees (Pennsylvania)! Its been tough for residential companies to hire in this area. You just made it 100 times harder by showcasing what these guys have to offer, but by the looks of it they deserve the best of the best...

We have vines here in Wisconsin too! They are a royal PITA out here and they get to be 3-4" dia at the base.
In October I tripped on a vine in the woods clearing for my hunting shack and tore an ACL and that ended my hunting for last year. Still recovering here on 4/2/24.

I’m glad you got to meet some new tree species and check out our area… I’ve been working and playing around where you were working for the past 20 something years… a little north and east but it’s all the same species that you were working with …. actually always really liked this plant zone… as I do landscape design and installation plants and shrubs as well as tree care… we are way more old fashioned with way less equipment and more rope rigging… I really like the treatment of diseases and saving them from insect pests and diseases/fungus… that’s always been my real kicker… when you can bring one back or save one is extremely rewarding work. Dude you definitely should have gotten a cheesesteak and a beer… next time you’re out you should do a little meet and great and let us feed ya nice fat porterhouse and a couple local brew’s! 😂👍.

Basswood* is what we call the big leaf linden here in Ohio. It is a very soft wood, just like the Tilia American sentry that it derived from in the nursery. Super popular landscape trees. It would be cool to do a little tree identification vid from the different areas you've been. Thanks for the awesome content Jake.

One thing you can do when traveling is bring a stuff sack with you that way if you need to shed some weight you pull out the stuff sack and throw your rope in there or the boots and it cuts down your weight and saves you money. I worked offshore in oil and gas for years before going back to tree work and I was constantly getting more gear when working always taking my bags over weight. When I started carrying a stuff sack I was always able to avoid over weight charges. You can check it or bring it as a carry on. If you have something heavy just carry it on and avoid the fees entirely. One trip I came back with some shackles and slings for the company and my stuff sack weighed 80 lbs and no one said anything. Just be sure to have an extra carabiner to clip it shut if you check it.
