Please give me an explanation of the principle. Why does the on-off touch cause it to turn on and off?
The Touch Switch circuit will detect stray voltages produced by mains voltages and electrostatic build-up in a room. In the first circuit, pin 2 must see a LOW for the circuit to activate. If sufficient static voltage is detected by the plate, the chip will change state. If not, you will need to touch the plate and the 0v rail. In the second circuit, two touch plates are provided and the resistance of your finger changes the voltage on pin 2 or 6 to toggle the 555.
ic 555 has 3 modes depending on how you configure the pins. monostable, bistable and astable. monostable is when you want a delayed latch for a certain time like circuit 1 is this video. bistable is when you want the circuit to toggle high and low depending on trigger and threshold pin like the on off circuit in this video. astable is when you want periodic frequency based high and low like the flash light circuit in this video.

everthing is through hole component (TOT). why not just use a breadboard? 😅
I am making projects like this to understand the connection between each components.
@@technoelectronic breadboard is much easier and faster. also, you can disassemble it and reuse the components in other projects

make a voltage controlled oscillator (vco) with ic 555. hook it up with a speaker using op amp as an amplifier. make a resistive keyboard where each key stroke will result in different resistance values and use it as a volatge divider. tune it, and you will have a raw analog synthesizer that you can play melodies on.😀
