I AM SO EXCITED! I have one of these coming in Jan/Feb 2023! I love my PRS acoustic (AE60) but this is going to be a whole new level of wonderful every time I pick it up and 1,000 steps up from my beat up DCX series. I've watched all I could find on this guitar and loved your description the best and the variety of samples was great. Thanks so much for these videos. They make me so much more confident pulling the trigger on a once-in-a-lifetime purchase like this.
Very nice guitar. 👌 I would probably check the different colours and flavors of either cow bone or fossil walrus jawbone bridge pins instead of the liquid metal pins. On my Martin O-18 I changed the bone saddle to fossil walrus ivory and bridge pins to fossil walrus jawbone. This brought out the true beautiful timbre colours and flavors of each note with great clarity also in the sustain. I am definitely interested in getting this guitar in October. Thank you for your time in making this video
My main acoustic guitar is OM-28 standard. I like bright and crispy tone including low end a bit. Many thanks for super easy to understand review all the time Chris!!
I really enjoy your videos, CHris. You have a way of speaking that's easy to listen to and your reviews are to the point with plenty of info from a player's perspective. Thanks.
I completely agree. Some reviewers come off as a bit stuffy, but Chris has a very humble way of explaining. By far my fav person to hear talk about guitars!
Everytime you explain how the guitars are built... You make me wanna buy one! Amazing review and playing as always! More power and success to you guys!
Great review as always! Had both the OM-28 MD and the Reimagined for a couple weeks and ended up keeping the MD. Volume difference is substantial (MD is louder) and the MD sounds much more vibrant. However they seem to no longer use titanium truss rods - it is no longer listed on the website and when I put both on a scale, the MD was actually ~10g heavier.
Yours has the titanium truss rod? Thinking about this one, and the one I’m looking at has titanium… I thought this guitar would’ve been lighter! Thanks.
@@danielchoi801 if you can check your serial number to know when it was produced… the one I’m looking at was produced in 2018 and the store told me that because of this, it has the titanium
@@TidesOnEarth gotcha.. looks like my serial number is a 2020 production. Not sure when Martin quietly stopped using titanium though. It probably doesn’t make a huge difference so I’m not overly concerned… interestingly though, Sweetwater’s description for the MD mentions steel truss rod.
Chris, another great review of this assume OM28, I really like the fingerstyle section of your demo's. Any clue to what that song is would be appreciated, i can't get it out of my head :)
You could play a cigar box guitar and make is sound good! But, in my opinion, the OM-28 modern deluxe is the best sounding acoustic guitar there is. The tones are just so perfectly balanced. I'd love to have one..

I am excited for you my man...lol
How is it ? It is suitable for slap and strum style ? Thank you.
@@pankajjoshi2032 Martin OM's in my experience have been some of the better OM's for strumming!
Just picked up this guitar, wow unbelieveable sound, power from a small body guitar, absolutely love it. Haggs

Your videos are always so relaxing.
I think this is one of the best sounding guitars I have heard. Or maybe it’s because Chris could make a guitar from Sears sound incredible.
Can you please do a comparison of the Modern Deluxe D-28 and this one (Modern Deluxe OM-28)? Thanks for this demo.
Does anyone know what song Chris is finger picking? He plays this song on several reviews. I really like it.

@@TidesOnEarth I figure it doesn’t because it’s not any lighter than the Reimagined, but I’m not sure if there’s any way to know for sure.

The first MD to use steel truss rod was serial number 2345223, so all MD prior has titanium.
Do you think the Om 28 sounds better than the 00028 in the modern deluxe version?
Love it when he thinks for a minute - "Hang on .. have I got the right century?"
What is the tune at 7:30

Loving mine!
is it strong enough to withstand slap and strum ? Thank you.
I’m debating between this and the OM-28V.. have you played both and have any comparison thoughts on which way to go…? 😬
Is this a Pinball Wizard strumming guitar? You make great video reviews.
Finally found a person who doesnt strum open strings all the time. I was so disturbed by the 4 chord playing demos!😂
What is the list price of the OM-28?
Most retailers are selling The modern deluxe OM 28 at $3,999.00 . The Standard OM 28 retails at $3,029.00.

It does not have hide glue. It has protein glue for the braces. The rest of the guitar is normal Titebond.
I don’t think the OM series would be considered a small body guitar. It’s just not a dreadnought
Take my money!!!
Every ones that haves the mony to pay a wood binding guitar like martin or Taylor will pay them.
