On my Virtus muzzle device, I boiled water and let it sit in it for 15 min, and it broke free easily. For a second Virtus barrel, I let it sit in cold water over night, and I ended up having to shock it free using a hammer on my wrench. It should be a rockset type thread locker holding it on, and lots was visable on the one that needed the hammer.
Rockset is water soluble. Put it boiling water for around 20 min then it’ll wrench off normally. In all seriousness, it is awesome that you know this. Soooo many people try to heat it up… when it stands up to heat, and they don’t bother to ask the manufacturer. Had a few customers injure themselves trying to crank off muzzle devices.

I dont think it will. the canbrake is using the rattler upper and is cut shorter BUT you can use the virtus SD handgard and that would be the same effect. also you can use the arisaka zero retention clamp without having to drill holes into the handgard yourself. www.sigsauer.com/mcx-virtus-handguard-rifle-length-with-sd.html
@@o329oYea that’s the hand guard I was looking at. From what I heard the virtus barrels work in the spear so you think buying a 300blk 5.5 barrel conversion kit would work with the SD and arisaka clamp?????

I can confirm that the spear LT hand guard will fit the virtus you just have to push pretty hard and it will pop on. Sig Sauer will deny cross fitment between the two but it does in fact work and fits even more snug and has less flex than the virtus one.
@@nyballer31 once the boss on the inside part of the Lt handgard gets over that initial bump and into the pocket maybe but i dont think its worth the scuff
Have you had any trouble with the magpie dust cover on the spear-lt? I have one on my rattler and I am a bit concerned on how proud it sits compared to mil spec.
Virtus and spear grips interchange I assume? I notice you have black on the spear whereas they’re usually brown. Looking forward to picking one up soon and changing out as well for some contrast
Finally secured mine just waiting on delivery! Did you throw a new charging handle in yours too? I keep hearing about a radian arms lt charging handle specifically for sig Mcx platform
Yes but then there is an issue with how the trigger and the bolt carrier works together. I would swap triggers if I were to swap the uppers. Or swap uppers but keep the matching bcg to the lower.

Virtus with the g$ trigger in 300 blackout is money. Only reason I ever get a spear LT is for the 7.62x39
6:05 It will fit actually, it will just scrape on the connecting area. A guy made a video about it here on RUclips.

the LT can use the virtus hand guard. but the virtus can not use the LT hand guard.

No trouble at all. I put one on the LT the rattler and the GB. I though about that too but it’s holding up.

I swapped out the sig one to a bcm. I like the sig one but I wanted the color contrast.

you have WAY too much oil on the BCG's
