I dont understand why they dont just record actual weapons? I mean, grab some WW2 weapons, go to the shooting range and prep it so you can records the sounds properly and use the recordings in the game. It always sounds like they use one default pistol sound and tweak it so they can use it on other weapons as well.
For anyone else who was confused on why they were calling them Able and Baker instead of Alpha and Bravo, I did some research and it turns out that the universally accepted phonetic alphabet (alpha, bravo, charlie, delta, echo, etc.) came into effect in 1955. Prior to that there was a different phonetic alphabet (able, baker, charlie, dog, easy, etc.). Since WWII occurred in the 1940's, they would have used the old one. Does anyone else look at this and just thing, 1, it looks awful by modern standards! and 2, they haven't changed a thing since CoD1..... In fact when it comes to map design i would say they have regressed more than anything else. Loved CoD 1, and CoD 2, but the lack of development just made it boring, WW2 setting or not
I like how they went so much as to add the team names as The Allies and The Axis...those little things aren't that important but shows how much attention to detail the creators had to make a great quality game
