The list you get by pressing M also tells you, in which depth range you can find the stuff (useful for quests) and how many you have dug up so far. Due to the depth range, you can figure out quite fast, that the game goes down to 1000m, as jewelry goes from 0-1000... it is an omnipresent loot.
Matt the Engineer actually bcuz finishin that quest allows him to unlock more quests. Finishin that quest asap is worth it, even if the cash reward isnt worth it; and in this case his pure maths brain managed to assure that the cost of the quest was the same as its reward, so it didnt cost anythin to finish the quest. Unlike doin it to a higher lvl unupgraded mech
@@petroleumjelly1488 I am a starving child of a miner, and I will definitely tell my dad about curved shafts so that maybe he will be able to make some more money and we won't have to die.
I remember the first game in this genre, a free Flash game called Motherload. This is just another clone of it. Apparently Super Motherload is on Steam. It's called a sequel, but on the surface of it it just looks like a remake since Flash died. Not surprising given how many free game makers decided to sell out and charge for the same thing but not on Flash. At least it's a good game and not stupid-ass bloons and they bothered to give it new graphics, so it might be worth paying for, but not $15. Wait for a sale.
Super Motherload isn't just a remake, they changed the story and added structures that you can discover. The general game mechanics are the same though.
The last time I played a solid 2D mining game it was on an iPhone 3G. There were tons back then but this genre just went radio silent for some reason. Gonna need to grab this game now. Cheers!
@@RealCivilEngineerGaming That may be true for some, but I believe that those songs are the most exquisite art ever created by humans (mona lisa included)
Motherlode is the greatest game of all time. spent ages back in school playing that game during computer class. At least this time RCE only made me buy a cheap game. Cheers!
Day 8 of waiting for Matt to upload Mindustry Part 2. FFOTD: BetaMindy is the most popular mod with over 300 stars/favourites. The mod adds a new planet, a lot more units, more turrest, and in general, a lot of stuff!
13:35 If we estimate you paid 10k$ for the extra 2$/s, then it's only about 1h for it to pay itself off. And since you can upgrade that 2$/s, that time just goes down. Definitely worth getting the passive income.
there was a treasure at 13.37, it gave you 1,337 dollars you also see 1337 on one of the buildings in the background. if you aren't sure why, 1337 is leetspeak for...leet...from the word "elite"
pixel art videogames are the best. I know AAA games do their best in implementing top of the line realistic 3d rendering and assets but pixel art games still rock.
Day 99 of asking Matt to add the Second Narrows Bridge, Ironworkers Memorial to the Wheel of Bridgetune It is a cantilevered truss bridge, carrying 6 lanes of traffic from Vancouver to North Vancouver in B.C. across the second narrowing of the Burrard Inlet. It's name comes from the fact that it collapsed twice during construction, which unalived 23 people in total (Hence the name, ironworkers memorial).
15:30 I am prty sure that one block does not equal one meter in this game. Your startin character, and all other (presumably) humans, is roughly a single block tall. So if this is the case, a single block is equal to two meters. Which means you have in fact dug twice as far down as you think; that or the humans in this game are half as tall as avg humans in our world
This game looks like the spiritual successor to Motherlode from the great flash game era
This game looks almost identical, who made it?
It looks like a copy and paste with 1 more feature thrown in. Lazy imo
@@zaneweaver4185 My thoughts exactly! Matt should play the good ol' Motherlode, and give everyone a taste of that great ol' game!
@@ashtinpeaks9972They also got rid of the fuel tank and hull strength.

Matt the architect spends $5000 to upgrade the previous drill to get a $5000 bonus

That's Matt in a nutshell. Nothing new here 😂

Nothing wrong with a curved shaft... They can hit spots which straight shafts simply can only dream about...

Motherlode and Motherload 2 were the OG. Should still be around but not as flash games anymore.

Looks like fun, would love to see more!
Really would love more of this game. The mines work well if you upgrade the guy (top left option). It adds up way faster than you’d think.
Reminiscent of the Xbox 360 classic Miner: Dig Deep
From the title I was hoping this was more Mindustry... but I'm quite entertained by this too. More of this and more Mindustry, please. 🙂
Hit the motherload with this one 😊
