I wanted to let you know how much I appreciate your videos. My grandmother was my best friend and the person who taught me to sew and I went to with any sewing questions. She got me this machine a month ago, showed me some things, but passed a week ago. Since then I’ve been watching your videos since I can’t call her anymore to answer questions. I’ve been sewing everything because it’s helping my grieving process. So again, thank you.
This means so much! Thank you for your kind words. Sending Condolences for your lost. I have my grandmother’s old machine, she too passed a while ago. When I sew on it, I think beautiful thoughts of her! ❤️❤️
Thank you so much! I inherited this sewing machine and could not for the life of me figure out how to thread the bobbin as there are no pictures or lines on the sewing machine. This was very helpful
Thank you for this video. I had a personal loss (RIP) and tofay i decided to learn how to sew to help grieve. I saw this machine on FB market and your video just made me buy it.
@whatsshecreating thank you. I bought the machine yesterday only for the top fear to break :( I think the seller sold me a dude. I bought a replacement top gear but not sure how easy it's going to be to replace it on my own. I took it apart, but the gear shaft is embedded deep. Let's hope.
What year was it released? If you will share please. I cannot locate a date via my searches . I have an opportunity to buy one My mother & MIL had great Singers but my first one purchased in 1980s was awful.
@@susantindell3567 This was an early 1990s version. My manual is dated 1994 but I might have purchased in 1995. It's truly a workhorse! Very easy to maintain and use.
Thank you SO MUCHmuch for making video! My elderly friend just gave me her sewing machine because she can’t see to sew anymore. And I couldn’t find instructions on it, and I couldn’t figure out why I couldn’t get it to work without bunching up the thread!!
Oh! :) what a patience & great you’re! the way of how close to the part of sawing machine you’re teaching u video record, explicit but to the point! Even showed where the serial no is! A true professional you are, thx!
Thank you I didn’t realize you could remove the entire bobbin plate where the feeder mechanism was - there was a lot of gunk there I could finally clean out :)
I’m helping someone on her Singer, but I have a Pfaff. When you slide the spool on, do you pull the thread toward you or away from you? Thanks much for the video.
Thank you for this video. I just inherited this machine but it’s not sewing. The motor is moving but the needle is not going up or down can you help me?
It is possible because you can take off the presser foot and sew. I tried it with my other sewing machine but I am not an embroiderer. My try was a fail not because of the machine. It was my lack of knowledge. It can be done though.
Any idea where I can find the part that sits on top of the machine, the thread guide? I have looked everywhere including eBay. Machine is basically useless without it. Thanks
You may need to check your local sewing machine repair shop. They make have a part that could assist you. It may not be the exact part but it will get you going! Thanks.
Hello, I had gotten some universal snap-on presser feet from Amazon, Singer brand, and they do not fit this machine. How do I find the right presser feet? Is this machine low shank? High shank? Something else?
Hi. I don’t usually buy machine feet on online because I would have the same issue you are having. I frequent the local sewing machine repair shop and purchase the feet from them. I am unsure of whether this is a high shank or a low shank. I would suggest calling the local sewing machine repair shop and asking them by giving them your make and model number. Hope this helps.
It could be a few reasons: One being the needle is slightly bent- change it, the machine is not threaded correctly, you are not using the right needle for the fabric you are sewing, you may need to clean the machine. Those are some suggestions. Hope this helps.

Click the bobbin winder spindle to the left. This spindle is at the top of the machine. This is the mechanism used to thread the bobbin.
@@whatsshecreating thank you I will do once I get home

Is it possible to do embroidery with this machine. If so how could you please tell?

Are any good at buttonholes?
Yes, this one works well with buttonholes
Hi.. I got problem with my 5825c.. Thread keeps tangling and skips stitches too.. I'm so frustrated
You may wanted to rethread. You also may need to change the needle.
How do you turn the lamp on ma'am
It should turn on as you press the on/off switch. If not, you may need to change out the bulb.
Thanks
You’re welcome!
What is the cause of breaking needles?
It could be a few reasons: One being the needle is slightly bent- change it, the machine is not threaded correctly, you are not using the right needle for the fabric you are sewing, you may need to clean the machine. Those are some suggestions. Hope this helps.
