I met Amina at the blumeys last year and she is the sweetest and most genuine person I've met in theatre in a while. She deserved to win with every fiber in her bone and I know she's destined for great things.
The girl from Little Shop of Horrors should have won. She was awesome. Her under stated and sensitive singing was so mature. I get tired of yelling. She is a real talent. And I am a music teacher.
I think Amina Faye definitely deserved this win. They were both fantastic, but Amina just brought so much emotion and power to that song. Audrey was in the moment, sang, and acted beautifully. But Amina brought the audience with her and told an incredible story in less than a minute.
Princess Winifred was definitely the best, her comedic timing was great! Her voice was incredible. The Sarah from Ragtime was also incredible! She had her own take on it, but also kept true to the character. Her voice sent chills down my spine! OOF she was incredible. 1. Once Upon A Mattress 2. Ragtime 3. 9 To 5 4. Peter Pan 5. Little Shop Of Horrors 6. Les Miserables 7. Hairspray 8. Anything Goes 9. Shrek
Jo March: I really like this actress’s character voice. Her beats are very sharp and she’s hitting everything right on time, and she has very nice vocal control. Princes Winifred: This actress’s comedic timing is really good, and her use of dynamics is crucial in this song, and it really holds up. Fiona: I don’t like the arrangement for this part, and I imagine it must’ve been hard to work with, being so different from the song. But I really like her vocal acting and variation throughout her piece, she has really strong energy. Tracy Turnblad: I don’t like this costuming, but her performance is strong. I really like her voice, and changing from Tracy’s iconic voice is a distinct choice, but I don’t dislike it. Audrey: I love this Audrey. Her tone is very clear, even with the character voice, and her acting portrays a lot of subtleties in the character that don’t always come through. Eponine: At first I thought some of the stylistic choices were cheating the notes, but the last note makes it clear that she can sing it. Her take is very refreshing, and I really enjoy her acting interpretation. You can tell she really cares deeply about the role. Peter Pan: This actress really suits this role, which is surprising since Peter Pan is a boy, but she looks and sounds the part wonderfully. Her tone is perfect for the character, and I just really love the way she sounds here. Sarah: This actress is clearly a beautiful vocalist, she’s focused and has wonderful control, range and power. I adore the way she throws exactly what’s on her face and in her movements into her voice. Her acting is phenomenal and she obviously took a lot of work to the character and understands Sarah very well. Doralee Rhodes: I really like her voice. She honestly looks like she’s having a lot of fun and makes it appear effortless, even while acting a pretty extreme character. Her movements add a lot to the piece, especially the way she stands and acts with her arms. Her vocal acting is on point and fits well with everything else she has going on. Reno Sweeney: I love her use of the character voice and her facial expressions. It’s a great costume/makeup/wig job, and it gives her good tools to work with. Her voice is very clean and especially the last note sounds great. All of the actresses are wonderful and provided wonderful interpretations of their characters :)
Holy Crap!!!! These people are absolutely amazing!!!!!! I was expecting a horrible high school medley but these girls are like professionals! I love musical theatre and I wish I could reach this level :) what an inspiration!!! :)
Ok, but I didn't know ragtime last year watching this and just thought Amina sang the heck out of it but now knowing Ragtime. She also acted the H E C K out of that song oh my God.
Saw Amina in Penn State’s production of Caroline or Change and her rendition of Lot’s Wife was one of the most powerful theatrical moments I’ve ever experienced
Eponine was amazing vocals but I don't feel it fitted the character, I believe her voice is too powerful and there was too much anger behind it, better for Effie from dreamgirls. She would rock and I'm telling you
jo: walks up
me: excepts astonishing
jo: weekly volcano press
me: ahh nice
Same
I find something so special about this Audrey.
Why has no one mentioned the Jo? She was a superb actress and a great singer, I feel like she truly got Jo's energy
I just worked with her for Broadway Dreams Foundation and she is so amazig
4 Sutton Foster characters ❤️😆
I was just going to say the same :-)
Jo, Fiona, Reno...who am I missing?
Enjoli Desiree She was an understudy for Eponine
+Jordan Nickel-Dubin that's what I thought

Amina is a queen! It was amazing getting to work in that show with her
@@elliewhyte27 why didnt you just go back to the beginning of the video rather than ask a random person who probably wont (and didnt) respond 😭
@@hadiyahhope9354 why are you roasting me from 4 years ago i wasn't very bright lol
As soon as I heard Amina Faye I was like 'she better win'.
I met Amina at the blumeys last year and she is the sweetest and most genuine person I've met in theatre in a while. She deserved to win with every fiber in her bone and I know she's destined for great things.

That Doralee was spectacular! effortlessly amazing.
Anyone else see Fiona's face while she listens to Audrey sing

Also Marnie Quick is back. I immediately recognized her...She was one of my favorites last year. She's one of my favs again.
dignature123 i've seen her in her in the wiz she was amazing, she won at gka three years in a row
I RECOGNIZED HER IMMEDIATELY TOO
i literally got chills before amina even started singing just her presence alone was enough
During Audrey’s part, Fiona looks like she wants to murder her.
I went to high school with Fiona:) couldn’t be a nicer human being:)
Sarah is incredible. Her acting Is on a completely different level. Ragtime is an incredible show.
Amina Faye’s voice is RIDICULOUS
Ok, but I didn't know ragtime last year watching this and just thought Amina sang the heck out of it but now knowing Ragtime. She also acted the H E C K out of that song oh my God.
These are the best costumes I've seen in a Jimmy's medley!! Wow!
I love the fact that there were 4 Sutton Foster roles in this video
Literal shivers listening to Poni Lejukole and Amina Faye
Saw Amina in Penn State’s production of Caroline or Change and her rendition of Lot’s Wife was one of the most powerful theatrical moments I’ve ever experienced
yall i had tears in my eyes from somewhere that's green
NOELLE FLORES!!! YOU ROCK!!!!
This has nothing to do with any of the actresses, but I really love Peter Pan's costume
Good going (Amina) Sarah! Audra herself would be proud!
I love and miss these girls!!!!
Eponine was truly amazing!! She is so talented ❤
I genuinely love that song from 9 to 5
amina faye. perfection
That’s the best I’ve ever heard On My Own
You need to see more productions.
When u can’t find a plus size girl to play Tracy
that’s what i was thinking 🙄
Amina, GIRL!
What a perfect Eponine.
eponine is so underrated SHE WAS AMAZING!
How could anyone have chosen between these two women? They were all so good!
I love the Audrey in this 💜
Poni came from my high school and I'm so happy I got to meet her
Omg that Peter Pan was amazing
The actress playing Doralee KILLED it
Ok Audrey made me cry
THE SARAH WAS AMAZING HOLY
The girl who played Tracy was amazing but I’m annoyed she wasn’t a plus size actress since like the whole musical evolves around her weight
Your daddy’s son had me SHOOK
What high school did Les Mis?? She was so amazing and so was Sarah from Ragtime.
The les mis girl and the Peter Pan girl’s voices are gorgeous
Why do so many of these have someone playing Jo March from Little Women like geez
I know right
because feminism😂
Because even though the show's not particularly strong, it's an incredibly demanding role.
Jo is a exhausting part to play, I played her myself. She’s an amazing character who has a powerful story to tell
I played Jo. 14 quick costume changes. And I mean QUICK. Not to mention 350ish lines and all her songs.
Peter Pan gave me chills !!
THAT EPONINE I THREW MY SHOE GIRL!
The girl playing Sarah from Ragtime 😱😱😱
Amina made me cry!
That Doralee though 👀💯🙌🏾
The girl playing Peter Pan is amazing. I’d love to see the full production she was in. She really has the chops for theater - hoped she pursued it.
okay kailey boyle has a disney voice.
10:26 goosebumps all over omg she is amazing
eponine uhhh so good
I'm confused as to why this is the only medley that is still unlisted, while all the others are public now.
Why is no one talking about the girl who played Eponine ? She was amazing!
Tracy was amazing
Fiona was amazing, even though she wasn't the best at singing but she's the best actress
I thought Fiona was terrible lol
I think she just accidentally butchered that one note because she sounds like a really good singer and actress for the rest of the song
guys help why is nobody talking abt Peter Pan… she was so good especially at 8:21
Eponine 😻😻😻😻
3:19 😆
3:50 *oof*
OMG THE RAGTIMEEEEEE
Fiona's voice holy moly
I was thinking the same thing
The girl from anything goes, her costume really made he figure look nice, or she just looks that good, either way I’m jealous
2:11
Les mis girl should do caroline for change as the daughter
Oof Holly makes me realize why I'm gay
Honestly
Where’s my invitation to the jimmy awards?
uh eponine was so good?
Eponine was amazing vocals but I don't feel it fitted the character, I believe her voice is too powerful and there was too much anger behind it, better for Effie from dreamgirls. She would rock and I'm telling you
Hi, that was me.
Poni, let me tell you that you have immense technical prowess. Keep singing because you are such a talented young lady.
Fierce girl. What an interesting interpretation!
You were an amazing Eponine! I cannot wait to see what the future will have in store for you.
poni lejukole holy crap you are a star. I thought you did absolutely amazing, gave me chills. Beautiful job!!
fiona... girl..
I like her
The Fiona’s big note I feel bad
Did Fiona intentionally do that when singing the high part in “waiting”?
No. I voice cracked. It’s true.
5:57 watch fiona😂
I’m sorry but Fiona was very off...
Ragtime better have won
I played fiona in my community players guild and e w she tried to belt the note and she broke it and she was r e a l l y annoying
Erin Hansen poor her, you can see that she was really nervous
Gabriela Montenegro yes it is obvious but she could’ve used her head voice instead.
The girl playing Fiona is actually terrible like she completely took Fiona in the wrong direction
Its her interpretation though
I love it very quirky
Remember these are not professional actors but rather teenagers, so try not to be a dick. Thank you.
On my own phrasing was really weird
