555's seem like the best choice. Thanks for going through this review! Moog used to be good stuff, but nowadays they don't seem to be doing quite as well. Duralast is just asking to use that lifetime warranty and I only want to do ball joints every 200k, not 40k.
Just been there and done that myself in the last month. Stay away from Mevotech as well. The grooved style cuts into the spindle, which if you replace them will end up just cutting the spindle again. In the end the mounting area gets chewed up and no matter what mount you install it will be loose and eventually fail.
@Element Lifestyle It helps forsure, definitely learned alot. Thanks man, I've missed out alot this past year with my new job but definitely want to make it out to the Joshua tree one you are having.
@@ReadySetElement whatever you miss this year you’ll get it back and even better for the next year .Will be nice to have you guys for the JT meet up . See you in the Element on the Runway 👍
Installed moog balljoints, stabilizer link and control arms driver side so far so good. Cant wait to install on the passenger side. Also replacing moog stabilizer link rear soon.
Hello, I have 2007 Honda element SC and I put MOOG ball joint yesterday on the front passenger and driver side and so far the driver side went lose!! So how about your ball joint doing and if good would you give me website for it so I can order it. Thanks :)
What do you think about the brand CTR? It is very similar to the 555. The CTR does not uses any locking ring nor cotter pin but nylon locking nut. They are a supplier of OEM parts for Korean automotive.
Where can you find and buy “555” made in japan ball joints some are reboxed from ac delco to beck and arnley which are “555” the last time I purchased then now their suppliers are back to made in china??
@@spookshow6999 I watched an excellent video on RUclips where someone cuts one of each open to show the insides and explain why the plastic socket type do not benefit from grease. That's why they don't have a grease nipple on them. ruclips.net/video/XO0KH4EqtCY/видео.htmlsi=0d9Bbi11b2Cuxkoz

The sc ball joint are wider than the ex models. But you’ll notice right away when being install. Make sure the snap ring is mount it .
Dealer told me that I needed to buy the entire control arm and they don’t sell the ball joint by itself
@zt6ty yes but they sell the bushings and I bought 555 ball joints that are made in Japan
Thx. In the future can you include helpful details in the video description section like part numbers. That would be way more helpful. Cheers!

How's Dorman xl? I wanna test it out before 555.
I never tried the Dorman one but pls keep me update it . What sold me from the 555 is they made in Japan
Mevotech is also excellent. Sankei or Mevotech for this house for Hondas.
I’ll look forward to test one of those in the future 🙏
Mevotech on my car failed bust after 3000 mi.
On my element sc i have bigger ball joints. MOG ball joint smaller then my. Maybe you know part number?
Yes that’s correct . SC ball joints are bigger
I bought 2 but 1 has more play than the other. Is that ok?
Thank you

Napa auto parts sells this brand.
How’s the 555 holding up?
So far so good
Great, thanks!
Why do the ball joints seem like they have no grease in them? or they suppose to have light grease only?
I think some have a plastic type socket around the ball and so don't need grease because they are not metal against metal.
They are junk too. They do need grease. All of them need grease.

Haynes book says you change ball joint only once on Honda, then replace knuckle. Groan.
Moog quality has gone down a lot. It’s cheap China product now.
