Joseph, For Stone's interception, you mentioned that Stone said he read a wheel route and acted on it. But when I went back and watched the play, he still looked way behind on covering the RB even though he knew it was coming. Do you believe he is just thinking too much during the play, and playing slower? Or does he just need to work on conditioning this off-season? I love Stone, I know he's a smart kid, but the whole game he was a step too slow and generally looked like he was outmatched physically and athletically.
He sat on the wheel, assuming I guess the QB would throw it to a spot and not throw it once he released into the wheel. It’s a play where if there’s no pressure and QB holds for a second he may be beat, but it works out.
Couldn’t agree more
