I've been watching for videos for a while now and it finally happened! He asked me on New Years and I said Yes! Can't believe its real and now I have to actually take notes and pay attention. :D So grateful for your channel!
😳 goodness I feel like she’s talking DIRECTLY at me!! 😅 YES , got engaged during the holidays (Christmas). YES, I’ve been planning for the past 3-ish years 😂 Now it’s time to buckle down and take notes! ☺️
We have been planning our wedding for 3 years now... thanks covid. So much changed over the years, one thing did not change. Still watching and enjoying your videos 😊
We are nowhere near getting engaged, but we did start talking about saving for the future (wedding, buying a house) so we did try to figure out a budget. I would probably do a lot of the planning myself, I'm a producer/planner in music theatre so I actually really enjoy planning and organizing! Great video, planning isn't that hard as long as you keep the overview :)
I’ve been watching your channel for over a year because I knew engagement was coming soon. Finally happened yesterday and I introduced my fiancé to the wedding planning with this video. Excited to plan our wedding with your help!
Please do more Cricut tutorial videos! My fiancé and I got a Cricut as a Christmas/engagement gift from my mom and we’re so excited to find ways to use it for the wedding!
Jamie, I just adore that I found your channel before my big day got any closer (less than five months out now!!! EEEEEK!) you've given me so much insight and a sense of confidence that I was starting to notice was lacking. And you've covered so many topics, it's insane!!! EDIT: oh!!! I remembered my question that I almost forgot!!! How much time would you recommend taking off of work before the wedding? I know this will obviously vary based on lots of factors but I thought a vid on how much time to give yourself in the days leading up to the Big Day, and other less-glamorous but super-relevant tips like that for the prep of it all, would be fantastic!
I started watching your videos a few months ago but sorry to say I had to put them down to stop myself from jumping the gun. Now that I'm officially engaged (as of yesterday), I'm going to gleefully go down the rabbit hole.
Hello Jamie you should do a video on how to do an indoor small wedding at home!!! I have 34 people and I don’t even know how to start or what to do… I want to have ceremony and buffet style but hell it’s a nightmare just to think about it I want to end up at the courthouse 😩
I used to watch your videos knowing I was never gonna get married back in the day....here it is 2022 and I just got engaged! Lollll 2024 seems so far away. :D
Speaking to me, just got engaged on NYE...and now to think about planning, I'm already overwhelmed and don't know what to do (wedding, elope..? ) but now to take notes
I watched these videos all through my wedding planning process and now am confused about how to change my name! You should do a video on navigating that.
For the third category, I think the officiant should be in the first or second category. Whether it's your pastor, priest, someone you know whose getting ordained online, or a judge. Without an officiant (friend, family, pastor, priest, paid officiant, or judge), you cannot legally be considered married according to your state. If you don't have some kind of officiant to perform your ceremony, you will not legally be getting married. It would just really be a party.
I love your videos! Thank you for all the fantastic advice. I'll say one thing as a goldsmith who sizes wedding and engagement rings all day, when you go ring shopping, DONT put it as one of your last things to shop for! I can't tell you how many last minute ring sizings or custom wedding band orders we get, and the jewelers are frantically telling us that they need it in two days because the wedding is Saturday and they just finished the design on Thursday. It's too risky, what if the goldsmith is backed up and unable to do it? What if your custom band comes back and the engraving is misspelled or the size is a tad off. Then It's too late. I'd suggest talking to a local jewelry store about your vision months in advance, you can always change the size as the date gets closer (summer and winter will expand or shrink your fingers) and then you can really make sure your ring is exactly what you'd want. Your jeweler will thank you! 😊
I just got engaged on the 4th of July at the baseball game and now I'm too excited to plan something out. I really don't know where to start to be honest. I haven't started yet because of work. we plan on wanting to get marry for a year or two. we probably have to start looking until the next couple of months by the end of the year.
I got engaged a few months ago and I'm so excited. The planning has been really hard for me and I can't find myself getting excited or into it. I was so ready before we got engaged but now I just dread it. I'm 18 and yes I know it's young and both families are really willing to help. Don't get me wrong, I'm so happy and excited. I'm starting school and a life and I couldn't be more thrilled and ready. Does anyone else feel similar or am I crazy? I want to be excited but I just can't
Me: Let’s just set up a GoPro for video and have a cousin nab pics after the ceremony, and have jqbx so all the guests can input music for the wedding in. Also Me: I will die if my hair and makeup isn’t not done by a professional.
Hi Jamie, I’ve been watching your videos for some time now , originally as the MoG to learn about rehearsal dinner etiquette. But now my question is this-what are the rules for wedding gifts these days? I was embarrassed last year bc we brought an actual gift to a wedding and we were the only ones! Everyone else “knew” to do it thru the wedding website. 🤷♀️. So today I am trying to get a gift for another wedding couple but everything is bought up and I don’t see a honeymoon fund. Now what? Bring a card with $??? Please advise engaged couples on this topic so their guests can give confidently . Thank you.
So the “something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue” comes from a superstition that you had to wear all these things for good luck. You also had to put a 10 pence in your shoe. Some people still follow this tradition, typically with the “old” thing being some kind of jewelry that is passed down in families or being the wedding dress/veil. The “new” thing is anything that is worn that is bought and being used for the first time at the wedding. Something “borrowed” could be shoes, jewelry, veil, etc. that another person has loaned you for your wedding. Something blue is just wearing something blue. Could be sapphire jewelry, a blue garter, blue shoes, or even blue flowers, feel free to be imaginative!

hi this is my first time watching one of your videos and my gosh you are just lovely!! (i really appreciate how you say spouse rather than husband)
Speaking to me, just got engaged on NYE...and now to think about planning, I'm already overwhelmed and don't know what to do (wedding, elope..? ) but now to take notes
Jamie, once again, nailed it! Totally agree budget and strategy come first. Love how you simplify it all. :)
I watched these videos all through my wedding planning process and now am confused about how to change my name! You should do a video on navigating that.
Please talk more about cake and apps only weddings! I’m very interested but also confused about the best seating option and timeline.
I’ve been watching you for years!!! Nope not engaged! But love this content so much
This was so helpful thank you so much!!!
I am planning for my wedding to myself
You're so lovely! I absolutely love your channel. Great content and you're so entertaining and awesome. Wahoo! Thanks for all the videos you make :)
Love you !! I look forward to your videos 😁
I personally think that if you´re spending 2K on a photographer the hair and makeup have to be on point
I wouldn’t think centerpieces are non negotiable though? Wouldn’t that also be flourish?

Luckily we eloped at the courthouse so we get to just plan a party!
It's also possible to do a self uniting ceremony in many states! Where the couple states their vows and pronounces themselves married - it's real!

I am indeed here. that got a new piece of jewelry. over the holidays. and am ready to marry the love of my life!!
Can you talk about how should a wedding planner set up her pricings?
I got engaged a few months ago and I'm so excited. The planning has been really hard for me and I can't find myself getting excited or into it. You’re awesome! Can we have a video on wedding priorities?
She kind of already has one, a list of what you need at a minimum for a wedding which is basically a great starting point for priorities 👍
If we have a dessert table- when do you set it up ?
Me: Let’s just set up a GoPro for video and have a cousin nab pics after the ceremony, and have jqbx so all the guests can input music for the wedding in.
Also Me: I will die if my hair and makeup isn’t not done by a professional.
Hi Jamie any wedding planners you recommend in Nevada?
I love how some commentors are planning preproposal or already engaged 🤣 meanwhile I don't even have a boyfriend 😅😄
How long before your wedding should you do all this
Hi Jamie, I’ve been watching your videos for some time now , originally as the MoG to learn about rehearsal dinner etiquette. I am definitely drowning in doilies rn 😅
Is your wedding on RUclips? Or your wedding DIY for your wedding?
but what if I want to have a secret wedding?
please send something to old and new and blue please expanciate

Please I noticed the tradition for wedding day and groomsmen and bridesmaids and bride and groom
