I am too. My only problem is, although there are msny good and even great new artists, they stir nothing in me. Angelina changed all that. She is just phenomenal. ( I still love my 60s and 70s music) Difficult to explanation, you have to experience her
her tribute videos are so tasteful - she typically wears black and the videos fade out to black at the end. Heartfelt and sincere - she's the best! thanks for the reaction.
Angelina doing what she does. Changes it up the way she wants to sing as tribute to the great Aretha. Nothing but pure class in this young lady. Thanks for the reaction HxC.
Thank you HC for getting Angelina, she is so versatile in tone and timing. Doesn't matter the song as long as Angelina is singing it. Aretha passed and did this tribute like only Angelina can. Thumbs up sir.
I love Aretha too! The Queen of Soul. The first time I listened to this I didn't like it because I was expecting more like Aretha. But, after listening a couple of more times I see what AJ did! It is mind blowing that this 12 year old could take another iconic song and completely re-make it. Slowing it down, not belting but making me hear the words like never before. Only Angelina, The New Queen of Jazz, can do this.
this child ,,,,,,,this song with those lyrics ,,,,,,,its almost spooky ,,,,,,,Only Angelina is able to emotionally make you believe what she breath out ,,,,,,,,,magic,,,,,,,,,,
Wow, es emocionante, te canta y te lo cuenta, es como si te lo cantara al oido, a cada palabra le da sentido y me emociona, que chiquita y que grande que sos Angelina, gracias por esta reaccion y saludos de Argentina...
This is the definition of a heartfelt tribute. When Aretha died in August, 2018, everyone singing tributes tried to sound like her, which is an impossibility. Angelina, as usual, put her whole heart and soul into honoring one of the people who had a big influence on her as she was growing up. I loved the idea of the fade-to-black for 10 seconds at the end to honor Aretha, but most reactors just thought it was the end of the video and stopped it. I wish the black screen showed a dedication: Aretha Franklin, March 25, 1942 - August 16, 2018. That might have prompted the reactors to keep the screen up longer.
I love that you always wave back;). Keep the AJ reactions coming. I can see that you really appreciate her talent and ability to communicate emotion. Thanks.
Shortly after Aretha passed away, Angelina gave us this. Surely she ( as always) dug into her deeper feelings about the sad news, and then thought of this amazing way to say thanks the legendary Aretha Franklin, saying godbye by letting it end in silence and a black screen. Angelina gives us a greater love for music, and she even gives us a greater path in humanity. I guess that`s why we call her an angel, and she brings her "harp".
Thanks for reacting to this emotional and amazing performance by the Barefoot Angel. Besides her unique and amazing voice, this performance is phenomenon with regard to a 12 yo from Norway is mourning the loss of a legend, AF (RIP), who defined the golden age of soul music of the 1960s. She could have easily started her music career by submitting her talent to the commercialized music of the present generation; however, she started her music journey by performing the jazz/blues/soul songs of the African-American music legends.
No she wasn't. In the official video on her Angelina Jordan CoverChannel, instrumental credit is given to pianoman6288, which a RUclips channel for piano accompaniments. They are like karaoke tracks.
@@robertcarlson2807 I'll defer to you on this. It just strongly look like it from the way she was moving her arms & periodically looking straight down.
When she goes to her low register like here and when the song is an homage or, better, a tribute to a departed idol of hers (she honors that distinction), Angelina does what I would call the "yoyo movement'" and "sings in the spirit". She would close her eyes very firmly and then, from the inner room of her "soul" ( mind and emotions) where she gathers the memory of the artist and the emotions related to it, she would descend deep in her "spirit" to do the extraordinary: diving into her "spirit". She would find in that "sacred"place the "spiritual energy" necessary to sing in that manner. That vertical inner movement, from her soul to her spirit, and from her spirit to the soul, happens quickly three or four times during a "spiritual song". Angelina is able to go up and down that way, and to even ascend in her "body instrument" (usually to smile to grandma and to us). Two examples, among many, of that spiritual movement back and forth can be found in I Put A Spell On You and here. Depending on the disposition of the listeners, that could explain our strong responses, either emotional or spiritual, to her delivery. The communication between Angelina and us can be a connection from heart to heart (the soul) or from spirit to spirit. I know for a fact that my tears or my chills do not have their roots in my emotions: they come from a deeper place.
Angelina was a massive fan of Aretha she grew up with this kind of music and when Aretha sadly past away Angelina didn’t wast any time to do this tribute to her and if you’re wondering why it just went black at the end it was Angelina’s way of saying goodbye to the late great Aretha Franklin also she was very upset to because one of her idols had sadly past she did a fantastic job just keeping it altogether Love 💕 from Denise in Yorkshire England 🏴👼👼👸🏻👸🏻🦶🦶👏👏👏🥰👋
Imbedded in the sound waves, is "Vocal-Joy" and those waves shower you with Joy. Everyone should be, showered in love and Joy "Showered" That's part of the Orchestra of Angelina Jordan, the girl that makes us cry?
Thanks for this! 💖 Here is more of her incredible lower register, in the Frank Sinatra classic 'You make me feel so young' - ruclips.net/video/MQN3ecsutLs/видео.html
Check out the enhanced audio done by pa1189j that gives a much better hearing of Angelina singing live at a concert the song Mr Lonely when a 12-year old (Angelina sings as Miss Lonely): ruclips.net/video/kN710xqfff0/видео.html pa1189j is a UK sound engineer who does fantastic work cleaning up the audio. He also does mashups of her covers and the original artists that are pretty amazing. Check out Angelina singing What a Difference A Day Makes when 9 years old and singing it on Singapore TV in 2015. Sounds like an adult. Fantastic: ruclips.net/video/uWGb9lAO-vU/видео.html
Angelina transformed this song into an emotional, intimate love song where you hang on every single word. It's completely unexpected and heartfelt.
Discovering Angelina Jordan was the best thing that happened to me in 2020...

totally agree... She gives me hope for the future of the human race... UNITY.. it is not rocket science... The Media is dividing the human race ...

Hear heartfelt adoration to Aretha Franklin, who had passed away short before. In black...
This is one of my favorite covers by Angelina. Great reaction HxC! 👋
Definitely in my top 100 ! 🌺

I imagine her casting that deep Persian look at a teenager who walks up to her, I pity him.
She is so extremely talented. And I have never heard her miss ONE single note. Incredible. Nice reaction 🙂👍❤️
♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Fantastic

Also, dressed in black and the background with black. Aretha was going of Angelina‘s inspirations. She’s slow this song down out of respect. 🌺

You should hear her low in How great thou art. And you should listen to I’d rather go blind
QUE DELICIOSO ES ESCUCHARTE ANGELINA......TE AMO.....
Love that low register and how she made this her own.
Don't know if you noticed, but she was playing piano, too, on this.

If she sang that any slower, she would have to sing it backwards.
Still beautiful Angelina.
