Knowing what this song is about makes you sad, almost to the point that you cannot really enjoy it. Basil Keen beat me to it & has already told you the story about this song, so I won't repeat it here. R.I.P. Sophie & may your memory live forever with this song.
Well done you two, it proves an entertaining song can carry a message everyone needs to heed. Just an aside, the last concert i have seen was in 2015 with Nightwish, Sabaton and Delain - they absolutely belonged with the other two bands and kicked azz. Good reaction and I have been a metal/hard rock outsider for a long time (just turned 60.)
The song is inspired by Sophie Lancaster, a girl who was murdered in the UK in 2007 with her boyfriend by a group of teenagers because she was goth. They were just walking through a park when they were set upon. It was something Cristina said this morning that made me think of this Glad you looked it up, guys England had a pretty big Goth culture I'll go with a 9.25 because of what it was
It's hard for me to enjoy this song knowing its source of inspiration. Even more upsetting is the fact that most likely most of those enjoying this song don't know about the tragedy and/or pay no attention to the lyrics. Great suggestion, should you be one of those having suggested this to A & C.
@@tarmotyyri6733 I think I may have suggested it when I first heard it, but that was a while ago, so not fully sure if it was me. The memory isn't as good as it used to be😁😁😁
Sadly a song not just as a salute to Sophie and how she died for being different, but relevant today as ever. Charlotte is another of the Dutch Singing Goddesses Club members, how do those Dutch produce such sensational female vocalists. A great song and a great video as a lot of people came together to make this point and Charlotte, well she nailed it for all to see and hear. Great one ladies, always like any group that take on the real issues uses their gifts and platforms to expose those issues.
🤘🇫🇮 Nightwish army Finland I'm straight (beside my backspine😄) older than teen, but less than 80, LOL! Still I follow u and like your way to handle the music you review! Keep going dears! Stay safe and take care..

Great song, great reaction! Nice to see that Sharon and Robert (WT) participated in the video.
