Thank you Lucy Martin for showing another informative way of using Lightroom. I have used Lightroom for many years, however, you have inspired me to try 'another way', so a big thank you for inspiring me to go another ‘adventure'. At the moment (11th December 2018) having had 236,442 views and 8,200 ’thumbs up’ clearly proves you are successful and popular, so please ignore the people who have given you the thumbs down as they have no connection to the goodness you have put out as they only demonstrate their inner unhappiness. You are unstoppable, so keep going and I wish you unlimited success.
after looking and buying Lightroom corses i have learnt more by watching Lucy Martin's you tube videos than i had from ALL the rest . excellent information well presented.
Watched this video as my first video from Lucy and I can't believe Lucy is so good in making professional RUclips videos by cutting the crap other RUclips channels do. She has a soft voice, neither too fast nor too slow and I very much liked the way Lucy presented it with a great example. I'm just a fan of Lucy now :)
Dear Lucy - I could bite myself - Tried it today and it is just sooooo much easier and simple to work out which color to alter. Jesus! And I have been using LR on a professional level for years and never put two and two together. Thank you so much - best tip ever. Love you for it 👍
While I was using the HSL/ Color panels and other tools, your explanation and workflow basically makes it super simple to under why these edits work and how to approach each edit.
i already knew all this..but i still watched this video because the way you were explaining was so great...keep it up ..i know your channel will become the best soon...(it is already one of the best for me )
Just bought a new camera and while waiting I wanted to use my waiting time productive. Like in learning Lightroom. You are so great in explaining and I'm looking forward to follow and making my Mondays more fun and interesting 🤩
I've recently started watching your videos and have to say you really have a gift for teaching Lightroom. You take the mystery out of this stuff and make it easy to understand. Probably the best Lightroom videos I've watch. Keep up the good work.
Awesome, Lucy! - English isn't my mother tongue and I didn't miss a word of your judicious tips! - Count me as one of your fervent subscribers! Thanx a bunch!
Thanks so much for this video! I've been watching Lightroom tutorials for weeks, trying to learn and improve, and this one is really basic but more helpful than almost any I've seen! Thanks so much!
This is how tutorials should be done, quick and simple, so an old man can follow what's going on and understand them without pausing and re-playing making a hash of a Saturday afternoon. :):) Thanks.
Awesome video! I knew a bit about this before, but to have it explained in a simple way as well demonstrated on a real photo is super helpful and gives me more confidence in editing. Thanks a ton!
Lucy, you are an angel! You make everything SO easy to understand and I am sure the quality of my images are going to SKYROCKET now that I watched this tutorial. Thank you again and keep up the good work. I sure will be your faithful viewer. Have a nice day :)
my favorite trick to save custom presets with different HSL edits - which allows me to compare different color palettes applied to the image. you can also save that with the camera calibration edits for an even further adjusted look.
Lucy, your tutorials are all so amazing! You have a magical way of explaining complex things in really, really easy ways. Thank you so much for sharing!
Love your videos! Very helpful and easy to digest...absolutely no pretension either...just straight up awesomeness! Thank you. I'll finally have something to look forward to on Mondays!
Really good video. When I first learnde HSL I used the eyedropper incorrectly thinking that it would allow me to make changes to a more narrow color selection, but all it does is move the same sliders that I see people in videos like you have here. I have noticed that better retouchers seem to go straight to the sliders.
Wonderfully presented tutorial. Same for the earlier tone curves video. You have a knack for simplifying features that make a world of difference to the final image.
Super helpful video! As someone just starting out with photography and editing, the one area that is confusing is the HSL tab. I always tinker with it not liking the results, but this video gives me some confidence that it's not as hard as it looks! Thanks for the great content and keep it up!!!
Huh. Who knew about the COLOR tab. I've skipped over it to do B&W and missed it altogether. The radial or circle feature as you described is at little too strong as many others have thought but that doesn't detract from a snappy presentation. Thank you for this. I'll be using COLOUR instead of HSL hereon.
Hey, so yes, I TOTALLY agree that the exposure radial filter at the end was too much. Ya know, sometimes you just get a bit too zoned in and then BAM - why did I do that? Anyway, there's another lesson for everyone :P
Hi Lucy... The way you've explained tone curve made it very easy for me to understand... Thanks a lot... How about explaining us about the tone & temperature in details in case you haven't done it already... I will do go back n check your published videos before I request it again
I learned a lot from this channel. Very informative. The best by far. I have LR but i don't use it coz im really confused and no idea how to. But now im excited, gotta start using it now. Big thanks 🙏🏻

Ok the quality of these videos is a lot better than I would expect from such a small channel. Really impressed
Simple, straight forward, on-point and no BS. I'm a fan! Could I love Monday now? One step at a time.
Your edits on Lightroom are very simple and easy for any beginner who want to make simple edits. Thanks.
While I was using the HSL/ Color panels and other tools, your explanation and workflow basically makes it super simple to under why these edits work and how to approach each edit.
Been watching many videos about HSL.
But this Video is way better, informative and easy to Learn !
Thank you ! 👏✨
Lucy is so awesome in using HSL that she even magically can zoom out pictures and get stuff arround the subject which was not even photographed!
i already knew all this..but i still watched this video because the way you were explaining was so great...keep it up ..i know your channel will become the best soon...(it is already one of the best for me )

Simple explanation and taking it slow enough for us newbies… Thank you so much Lucy! Peace out!
This is how tutorials should be done, quick and simple, so an old man can follow what's going on and understand them without pausing and re-playing making a hash of a Saturday afternoon. :):) Thanks.

Another great tutorial, I've already changed to colour, I like the way you explain your methods. Thank you
Really good video. Lucy thx for sharing your tips! Super helpful

Great tutorial Lucy! Really helpful. Keep up the great work!!
Awesome tutorial. Use to do my edits in HSL and never paid much attention to color. That will change after this tutorial. Thank you
Glad to heart that Gio!
You must try due to the little button at the left of each panel. That make the change of color smoother and more precise 😁
Very nicely explained. Thanks a lot
Why am I loving all your vids?! Super helpful. 😀 thnx! kbye.
Awesome tutorial! I love learning new things and you made it so clear. The only change I'd make is to ditch the music.
You are simply the goddess of Lightroom. I can't wait for your next tutorial. :D
learned alot.... thanks. Watching all the way from Nairobi, Kenya.
Great explanation of HSL and Colors! Keep it up!
Huh. Who knew about the COLOR tab. I've skipped over it to do B&W and missed it altogether. This is one of the best photo editing tutorials on RUclips (at least for me it is). Great job. Thanks so much.
Are you a teacher or something? Your tutorials are so far the best I've seen on RUclips!
Hey, so yes, I TOTALLY agree that the exposure radial filter at the end was too much. Ya know, sometimes you just get a bit too zoned in and then BAM - why did I do that? Anyway, there's another lesson for everyone :P
Lucy Martin hi lucy, great video 😁, btw would you please provide the raw so we can try to produce same result? Thank you very much
Hi Lucy... The way you've explained tone curve made it very easy for me to understand... Thanks a lot... How about explaining us about the tone & temperature in details in case you haven't done it already... I will do go back n check your published videos before I request it again
Glad to hear that Ram! I haven't covered that yet, so thanks for the great suggestion!
Would be awesome to see a tutorial on how to properly use Split Toning! :)
Hey Sergio, you're in luck - I made one on split toning already :) ruclips.net/video/xyhpjgBhFCk/видео.html
Thanks for doing these tutorials! While I don't have Lightroom yet, I am able to apply some of what you've gone over within Snapseed. Take care.
