Thumbs up if listening in 2025 ....An incredibly talented and beautiful musician. He's the one who made me fall in love with the cello. Thank you Yo Yo Ma from Fort Worth, Texas
I love this music as much as I did when I first heard it four years ago. I'm listening in 2025.Who else is listening in 2025 ? What a beautiful music ...This is my walz. My father was Appalachian ....from Fort Worth, Texas
I love the soul of Yo- Yo Ma. He does not play music but the voice of God to bring every living thing together in harmony. I would worship at his temple. He stirs my soul with his mind and melody. This man is an angel and his wings were made by Stradivarius . Please world, protect this TIANSHI . ❤
Whoever is reading this, we don't know each other and probably never will, but I wish you all the best in life and all the happiness in the world. Yo Yo Ma plays so beautifully ...you touch my soul ...from Texas
As you begun to play the not only the strings of the cello but my heart strings were stirred and tears welled up in eyes, how sweet the strings of a cello.
If you ever sat along the Chimney Tops, walked the trails, the springs, the rivers, seen Cades Cove, well you know. Yo-Yo Ma, such a musician, you touch my soul.
As soon as that first note hit,I heard my ancestors in these hills of NC calling me. You sir are a musical genius. You are welcome back to our hills anytime! God bless!
One can hear the Celtic influence immediately Beautiful.i feel the old world music of Ireland, Scotland with great forests and heath's,grasses waving in the gentle breezes that caresses the inner most parts of the soul
Written by Seattle kid. Mark O'Conner. Who grew up in the suburbs of Mountlake Terrace. Once of the finest musicians to ever touch a stringed instrument.
From the first note, I was with my mountains and valleys, rivers and creeks, the fog in the morning, the frogs in the evening, and the whip-o-wills at night. The Dogwoods and Tulip Poplars, the old barns of Oak and Pine, the dirt roads and sweetgrass. I could see my Grandma, and smell the biscuits. I could hear the chickens, and taste the molasses. I am Appalachia. This is my Waltz.
So true, and if you walked with my ole Major Professor on the Wildflower Pilmarage you'd have truly be blessed. He still lives near Gatlinburg, Bless Dr. R. Dale Thomas.
And now I'm browsing Yo Yo Ma videos after hearing him at the Presidential Inauguration :) Beautiful piece - feels very far away from presidential or political anything, which is a nice change.
I listen to yoyo ma at least twice per week. My cousin Kyle Dillingham is a violinist who performed in many countries, and has his own bluegrass and classical music in Oklahoma and abroad called Horseshoe Road. I come from a musical family. My mother was a pianist who played by music sheets and by ear. She also accomplished organ: simple and multiple keyboards. She wrote music and accompanied many young amateur musicians competing in the famous, annual Tri-State Music Festival. I love Yoyo Ma!
Beautiful what else is there to say , reminds me there is a beautiful world out there that you can tap into through music and experience those places without having had the joy of actually being there.

America is already great. Such music reminds us.
I could see this played as the first dance between a newlywed couple following the marriage ceremony.
Wow. I must learn this song. Haunting. Rich. Elegant.
Oh I can see in my mind the fog rising from the Smoky mountains after a hard rain.

Yes. I bought the CD about 20 years ago and gave it as a gift to someone who had so much money, I didn't know what to give but this music. ♥️

The Appalachians- one of the oldest mountain ranges in the world!
Beautiful! (no other words are needed.) 23 June 23
Funny how the album Appalachian Journey lead me to Yo-Yo, which then lead me to Bach.
Yes Yo Yo is a great musician, he plays Bach and play lots of other music as well, but whatever he plays will go straight into people's hearts.
Welcome to the Fold! Bach, I was into Bach in the 1960's but it lead me to YoYo ma. Good comparision.
3:31 we’ve all been there
just adds more genuine humanity and musical purity haha
