- Опубликовано: 3 фев 2008
- Denise and Theo are thrilled when they are involved in a minor car accident with a limousine whose only passenger is superstar singer/songwriter Stevie Wonder. Wonder feels so bad about the accident that he invites the whole Huxtable family to a recording session. Clair teams up with Wonder and the rest of the family to sing Wonder's hit song, "I Just Called to Say I Love You."
These kids will never know. This episode blew my mind as a kid who would grow up to be a producer (who didn’t even know what one was at the time). Thank you Dr. Cosby.
Wow SAME HERE!! This gave me this similar feeling of hearing the Michael Jackson “off-the-wall “album for the first time… I couldn’t explain it, but it felt like that’s where I belong, and 30 years later I’m doing exactly what I saw
I'm 13 I love this show
@@davemitchell7854It's hard to believe that this marks the 45th Anniversary of Off The Wall. Then the Victory Tour 40 Years ago.
@@PaigeAdams-pc2cbGood for you kiddo.
@@bigbubba29 thanks😊
People aren't allowed at my parties unless they are JAMMIN' ON THE ONE

@@FarrahTami: You see how Stevie just took the lit' stuff they said and made a whole joint with it. 🎶🎵🎶
Ikr?!
The most non Hip Hop phrase ever said on tv 😒 besides “I’m hot & you’re not” 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
Claire was hilarious. "Don't you ask me how old I am!" LMAO!!
rofl that was a good 1.jaleesa.
like my older sisters mid thirties to forties same way.
and my baby sis only 21,but she even don't like that lol
peace#LoveCLAIRERealWomanHuxtable
or how *high* she is
The look Claire gave Stevie before she said don’t you ask me how old I am was Priceless
Both Claire and Cliff gave epic facial expression reactions on this show😂🤣
This was so high tech back then lol
This show is still a classic 🤩
I love Stevie Wonder
im always a fan and love this epie so much
real talk. always lovin Stevie. 1 of my fave songs by him, especially the ending part of the song.beautifully-done. #lovecosbyshow
Me to
"She's in love with ROBERT!" Rudy, I die laughing EVERY time. :-)
I want to go back to my childhood! I was so happy with no responsibility but to watch TV! Love ❤️ The Cosby Show!!!
Me too.
Nobody wants to see a sex offender on TV
Me too
@@kachoo2135 You're into them anyway soooo
@Cheryl Keil I'd rather not see trolls. Why are you on a Cosby post but to be a jerk? Get a life. SERIOUSLY.
Lots of memories here. I missed the 80's.
This is one of my favorite scenes in this episode where Claire Huxtable sings it’s so sweet
Early use of the Synclavier an early digital synthesizer/sampler. They were crazy expensive at $25k just for a basic machine without a keyboard interface (had a terminal interface like that of a computer). They went up to like $200k for a full featured machine which I'm sure is what Stevie was using there. Most of that tech is now available in $100 Casio keyboards. Crazy how far things have come.
Yes if you hit a lotto or saving your money
That's what made this show so special. You never knew who was going to be on the show. Who's who always.
These were the days when my grandma would watch the Cosby’s,227, Amen. While cooking up some fried chicken collard greens ect
I owe a lot to this show: teaching this white kid about black culture, especially music...sampling, jazz, and the greats like Wonder, Ray Charles, James Brown, Lena Horne etc...
I can remember sitting at home in awww at this discovery moment… like what is that? How is he doing that? I want to do that….
Since then I’ve meet Stevie Wonder in person and became an audio engineer. Life is what you make it.
My man Stevie is a genius!! He knows his music, and knows how to put everything together!!
one of my favorite scenes from television, period.
Clair was so fine.
Kevin Anderson and still is
@@tiffanybraxton5742 dont know about all that.. LOL
Reggie Holliday ...
Reggie Holliday She still is... hater.

Jammin on the one. A hip term all the kids use. Only used once on this show.Never heard before and never heard again.
thewaitingape That's too bad because it's a cool phrase
im still lovin it lol HA HA.
love this epie, alot.#BeautifulClaireHuxtable
😂😂
Like bootsy say everything on the 1
I always wondered if "Jammin on the one" was a real term.
No matter how much people criticize this episode (and the pretext for having Wonder in the episode IS incredibly flimsy), this part was fun. It also was the first time I ever understood, or appreciated, "I Just Called." It made no sense until I saw the performance on this show.
Clair is so beautiful
No matter, The Cosby show will always be my all-time favorite.💯
Uh...it does matter.
It doesn't matter to some people, but it sure does to me. I watched every episode of "7th Heaven" starring Stephen Collins, but I will never watch one second of ANYTHING with him in it either!
One of my favorite episodes
This Is One Of My Favorite Episode. But More Importantly It Shows The Genius Of Bill Cosby To Remove Himself From This Scene Early To Let Stevie And The Family Shine.
"Don't you ask me how old I am!"
h aha love that. us women do not like that past late 20s 30s lol love this epie, alot.#BeautifulClaireHuxtable
😂
Stevie: And now Claire Huxtable.
Claire: Don't you ask me how old l am.
😂
That top Claire has on is so freaking pretty, the way it's made.... ❤️ I'd ware it now with some leggings 😍
This show made me a better person.
Claire sounds like an Angel. I love listening to both of them together....... ;)
I wish I could have been on this episode I'm a huge Stevie fan.
gotta love our boy STEVIE real talk.such a great episode on tv one right now. peace.
Jammin on the one! The phrase is coming back! I'm bringing it back.
If you're watching this in 2021, you're jammin on the one, baby
OMG, I am so reminded of my child hood... Can't help to still love the show
One of my favorite Classic episodes
I have been quoting this episode my whole life! B-B-BABY..JAMMIN ON THE ONE! ROOOGER!
Denise and Theo are thrilled when they are involved in a minor car accident.
I would be if it was Stevie Wonder, Eddie Murphy, or somebody....as long as they don't sue me and I get to hang out with them for a day.
OmG I remember laying around and listening his records when I was a kid. I used to say that I was going to marry him LOL I was so jealous of Rudy when I saw this episode LMAO
The face Claire gives when he asks her to sing...gimme a break, you know you can do it. And they she was all like "ME???"
I LOVE STEVIE WONDERS one of my all-time favorite episodes of all times and the Anniversary special!
Thank you Stevie and Bill
This was 1 of my favorite episodes❤️
@ angelmiller9254 - it was one of mine too. The two anniversary episodes where they lipsync Ray Charles *Nighttime is the Right Time* and James Brown's *I Got A Feeling* to his (Cliff's) mom and dad Russell and Anna were two more. Another one was the one where Cliff and Clair catch Vanessa coming home drunk and toward the end of the episode try to trick her with a bottle that is supposedly filled with whiskey, that's actually filled with tea...Lol.
the most beautiful sit-com ever
Stevie does stuff blind ten men with sight couldn't do working together
Out of all the things you can say at a party
"JAMMING ON THE ONE" is what you can come up with..I would kick you out the party and youll really be "JAMMING ON THE ONE" alone
SmokeBiggarton funniest 😂 comment of the day!!
I love Cliff telling Stevie Wonder, "I want to thank you for running into my children."
Jammin' on the one.
I would have said, "hey, where's the bathroom?" Probably wouldn't have made the cut for the album.
I met Stevie at the Grammys years ago...too bad he didn't have his keyboard with him. This must have been SO cool for the cast.
Here`s another fun fact. Stevie Wonder as you know guest starred on All My Children and then Phylicia Ayers Allen as she was then known was on it`s Sister Show One Life To Live. Another World was filmed in the same building. She also was the Understudy in the original production of Dreamgirls but never got to play Deena. Sheryl Lee Ralph later did Search For Tomorrow and alot of Dreamgirl Alumnae did soaps most notably Guiding Light.
I love this family there so realistic.
This is a comedy show l like since it stars Stevie Wonder 🤔 main reason but it is my favorite show "Cosby show" because of how much laughter 😂it brings to me when watching !
I love this part..
I watched Cosby every Thursday in my room on a small black n white tv
I think this was my most favorite episode of them all =] i miss watching the cosby show!!
I loved this show when family got to meet Steve Wonder
Phyllisha Rashaad aka Clair Huxtable is gorgeous!
The only part of this episode I remembered was "Jammin on the one, jaja jammin on the one". My sister recalled Theo saying that after I reinacted it, my cousin too. Has anybody else said Jammin on the one to somebody and had them recall it?
Jamming on the One 💯💯💯💯
THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS VIDEO!
i dont think many people relize how much this episode of the cosby show influenced most of our hip hop today no joke
Love this video no matter the Cosby show will always be my all time favorite love y’all ❤❤❤❤❤
Stevie Wonder knew his shit!! That's for sure. He had access to some advanced equipment, but he had to and dude must have had super hearing and perfect pitch cuz he was on that equipment recording stuff straight away.
I love how when Clare is asked, shes like Ron Burgandy and the yazz flute lol "i'm really not prepared"
Stevie is so cool.
So nice episode. 👍
I love it! This was one of my favorite episodes. ♥
This was JUST on tv, but I missed "jamming on the one" so now here I am.
My favorite episode

Lionel Richie also appeared on The Young & The Restless as himself while Smokey Robinson appeared as a Club Promoter. He and Stevie also Co Wrote Tears Of A Clown which became The Miracles Only Authentic Number One Pop Hit that was recorded in 1970 and two years later Smokey leaves the Miracles.
Classic episode
Thank you Nardwaur vs. Questlove
Stevie Wonder was Jammin On The One
PHYLICIA RASHAD WAS REALLY SINGING TO😍
So crazy how blown their 80s minds were with those futuristic production tools lol
Someday I shall enter a party and proclaim at the top of my voice, "Jammin' on the one!"
2019 anyone?
Chris P 2020!
forgot how gorgeous phylicia rashad was. MAN is she a beautiful woman...
ps, always thought it was JAM IT on the one, and thought it was a reference to, or mistake in saying, the song, JAM ON IT, and that Theo was just faking the funk and i was more into black music and culture than he really was, cuz JAM ON IT was my favorite song as a wee lad, and this kid didn't even know the correct FRIGGIN name of it lol...and all i found out today was it's JAMMIN on the one, which who the hell even knows what that means STILL...no one does...some out of touch white dude probably wrote the script

This is one that i remember most!
JAMMIN ON THE ONE!
gotta love the stank face on Clair at 2:25. this RULES.
i love how they r so amazed at things we cud now all do on our own using garage band...good ole technology lmao
❤🎉🎉jammin on the one
Back then probably costed thousands of dollars. Now you can get the software for a about $50
Its called a synclavier digital system
SYNCLAVIER RULES
I love this episode of the cosby top 3 with the anniversary and the in crowd. I grew up with this and of all of them, Clare is my favorite. Vanessa is my least since she is the pest of the whole thing. I miss this show anyway.
haha, "now clair huxtable", "don't you dare ask me how old i am." Clair can sing though!
Imagine being on an artists album and forever saying the name of a crush you had at age 12. 😂
Why does Stevie look like Eddie Murphy doing an impression of Stevie Wonder here 😂
That's was nice Amen
I am loving denise's hair
jammin on the FUN!
Its my ringtone, I am not joking either... /serious lol
Although I ADORE Stevie Wonder, my sister and I always talked about how awesome it would've been if Theo and Denise had gotten in a car accident with Michael Jackson instead . . .X-D
