THANK YOU! You don't know how grateful I am. We are working on quantitative data in my AP Research class and no one knew how to use google spreadsheets. The only thing I couldn't figure out was how to separate the error bars, and this video helped me with just that. :)
I'm so glad to hear this worked for you, Penelope! I'm sure your good grades are well deserved, since you obviously care and are persistent in finding the solutions you need. Best wishes with your studies!
I'm very glad to hear it was helpful - thanks for the note! I made two playlists for science fair project analysis: ruclips.net/p/PL03mSKVZUXBSqBCLe_paf-iymfEbGMokx and ruclips.net/p/PL03mSKVZUXBQXW90_wZtPIC5PKDbBwr2u
A column graph (bar graph) is formed from having only one number to chart. It charts "Words and Numbers", one number per word. If you have multiple values under one column, find the average of them and use that one number for your graphing.
I don't know! Haven't been able to figure that out yet. I have to keep the legend on display. See at 2:30. If anybody finds out how to keep the names under the columns with error bars, please post here!
Thanks, but this is so MANUAL. Need to INDIVIDUALLY type in the error bar value even though they are already in the data of the worksheet. Is there no way to specify that error bar values should come from Br:Fr of the data (row r)

So glad to hear this was helpful! :-) Thanks for the feedback. Good luck to you and your students!
Thank you, you are the only one that has done this properly, thanks to you, I am getting an A in my biology lab.

Thank you so much. My son was stressing out trying to complete his graphs for the science fair. This really was a godsend.

writing a formal lab report right now and this was very helpful, thank you !!
super helpful, thank you! also, your voice is so soothing :)
Thanks :-)
That was very helpful! Thank you!
SO so helpful!!! Glad I had you going in to IB HL Chem
Hi Nicole! Hope you're doing well. Glad the video was helpful - and have fun in chemistry! It's a fascinating topic.
That's why I'm here lol, I hate IB :(
But how can I do this when I have multiple values under 1 column (AKA a series)?
Yes I would like to know that as well.

@@s.m.2523 See above comment. I hope I'm actually answering the question...
Thanks for taking the time to make this video !!!!!
Hi Brett, You're quite welcome. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
thank you for an awsome video, you saved my paper
Thank you for the help
You're welcome! Good luck with your project!
Helped me so much with my lab report thank you!
Hi Ricardo, Thank you for the feedback. I'm glad this was helpful.
So how would you do this for multiple conditions
absolute god
Thank you very much mam 🙏
You're quite welcome! And by the way, if you want to know what error bars really mean, I did make a few videos on that on my channel.
How would you get the animal names under the bars again, with the error bars?
I don't know! Haven't been able to figure that out yet. I have to keep the legend on display. See at 2:30. If anybody finds out how to keep the names under the columns with error bars, please post here!

I know, it's annoying. I don't know of any way to do so. If you find out, please share here! I'm sure a more robust program would have that capacity.
@@ScienceClassOnline1 Thanks for respond. Anyway, wait for Google folks to get to fixing this. --hon-wai
Good"!!!
Glad it was helpful!
i have a 2 ANOVA and i need a different error bar for each part and its still grouping them by 2! what do I do?
Sorry Nicole, I only just now saw your question. Did you get the problem resolved?
i cant do this for a scatter plot smh
Oliver I think that's a limitation of Sheets. Probably you would need a different program. Google Sheets is pretty much just the basics.
omg thank you! now i just need to learn how to calculate an error bar lol...:/
