I'm from a Pennsylvania from a town close to Philadelphia. Though I used to be a snow lover, as a snow hater now it's very tough when I have to help my dad with shoveling or even plowing snow and that's a pain in the butt. I love when winters here are mild like they've been in recent years, and it would be good for me if that trend continues this year. One thing though is for certain, I'm absolutely never ready yet for snow at this point in the season despite that it's happened before in years past and hope that we make it into the start of 2025 before any snow that has to be shoveled or even plowed arrives in our region.

No chance at sow or any major precipitation here in southwestern pa, it's going to get cold and stay cold just like summer, no rain all summer now winter will follow with dry conditions till spring. Nothing like beating the same horse

Once the snow stays on the ground the thermal radiation gets reflected back into the atmosphere which brings more snow and the cold stays.
