There will never be a game like this again. I wonder what the people who worked on this game later went on to do.. I have little doubt all of the people who worked on this game now work at different companies.
I can tell you that the founder of TT, Jon Burton, works at another company that he founded called “1010 Games”. They’ve recently released a game called “Funko Fusion”.
@@Toad1K Very interesting! I looked the game up and you can definitely see some of the early Lego games’ DNA in it. Unfortunately it seems like the game got rushed and they weren’t able to deliver the experience they wanted : (
There is also the "parry". It works the same as the block but instead you press the attack button the moment an attack is about to hit you. This window is very generous so it's not difficult. There is also the "counter" for lightsaber duels. If another lightsaber user is attacking, while you're blocking, you can press jump, then you'll leap over and behind them. Giving you a free attack and the chance to start your own aggression.
I love this game so much. I’ve spent 100 plus hours on it, finished all the minikit levels, AND the Bounty Hunter Missions and somehow… I’m at like 90 percent 💀
My favorite thing is the glitch that you don’t continue your punch combo animation if an enemy dies in one punch. I had so many times where I would punch multiple storm troopers, kill them with one punch, and each time it would be with my guy using his right arm in the same punching motion.
I'm actually quite proud of my young self for finding all the attacks you mentioned in the video on his own. Plus the stab behind one. The attack then jump though, I don't think I had ...
The unblockable combo looks very cool, i hope its in the ps2 versions too. I always loved that special jump you could do with the weird sound effect, that took some finesse to oull off. Id imagine its probably unrelated to combot tho
Yeah, that’s why I didn’t include it in this video. You just swing the lightsaber and jump and you’ll do the special move. It always reminds me of bosses as they have the same jump. Thanks for watching!
Worth noting, the wiimote shake input makes the double jump jedi slam have more particles shoot out on the ground. I don't know if it actually does anything to the move's power, but there is a distinct visual difference between pushing B and shaking the remote
Interesting. I was surprised at how delayed the Wiimote shaking felt when I was gathering the footage for this video. I remember it being a lot more responsive when I was younger.
The dodging, dive jump and fast shooting were only added in Lego Star Wars 2, in the first game blaster characters can't do any of that. Probably because in the second game they had way less Jedi characters in the story, so they had to make blaster characters more viable. This then carried over to the Complete Saga and subsequent games.
Didn’t know that, thanks for sharing! I did notice that only certain characters can do certain moves, which I’d imagine is a result of combining the two games together.
If you do a double attack combo and jump, you will do a flip over and behind the area in front of you which can then be combined with an unblockable super jedi slam attack.
I’d like to add this On the Wii version, the button of super Jedi slam does the tradition Swinging the remote in the air super Jedi slam has a different explosion animation and (I think) does slightly more damage
The wii version has an even stronger super jedi slam, done with the same actions as the regular one, but instead of pressing B to slam the ground, you swing the wii remote.
Fun Fact: If you do a jump attack but use the Wii's motion controls instead of pressing B, the area of effect will be larger (equivalent to the Super Jedi Slam cheat)
I feel both proud and a little ashamed to have figured this stuff out with how many times i've played this game since it came out in 2007. the sparkling is what made me realize most of this as a kid lmao
I’d say that makes you an above average gamer! 😎. The game doesn’t do a good job of explaining some of these moves at all, which is partly the reason I made this video. Well, that and the fact that I’d never seen anyone make a video on them before. No clue who figured out these things initially to get the Xbox achievements for this game.
@@Toad1K Honestly I really like seeing this stuff confirmed! Even though I saw all of it I didn't have a full grasp of what i was doing. All I knew was 'yay sparkles' and 'oh I dodged/reflected enemy shots!' and 'oh I just finally hit that guy and it was sparkling!' same with the backstab, it's not super consistent but when it happens it rules 17 years of playing it will do a lot to your brain lmao. ive only played it on the Wii and PC so I had no idea these achievements existed!
i knew about most of these my little brother just calls the faster shot fire the triple burst shot due to him hearing it while watching rugged E kind of useful video though curious though what the next one is going to be i also have been thinking if you can now get paid to make videos shouldn't you hire an editor to edit the vids for you? not to say that you don't do an amazing job at editing i think your editing skills are an A+ its just a thought i had that would probably make uploading quicker however the pace isn't bad at all i infect think it's great i mean small channels often start small and as they get bigger in subs the more money they can get I'd say someone like you should at least get 10 to 50 thousand subs 100 thousand subs would be an amazing milestone and anything higher is just an achievement not to mention your new mic allows greater audio and that was a really good idea also congrats on 4k subs
Thanks, appreciate it! Quite shocked at how fast I’m growing now, especially when compared to last year. As for hiring an editor I could absolutely do that, yeah. For me though, editing is the bit of making videos I enjoy the most as it’s the part where you can really sit down and turn generic gameplay into something unique. I do agree though that having an editor would speed up the amount of videos I could upload. Most of the large RUclipsrs that create daily videos have at least 1 other person helping them.
@@Toad1K that's very true but when you say big youtubers do you mean like those with like 1 million or more subs i mean for a small Star Wars RUclips channel yours seems the most progressive in subs like bombastic he has been on RUclips since 2026 i think so he's had time to grow I'd say give it a few years 3-4 and then your channel will be in the millions if you're lucky you could take less time i also think challenge videos like that no Lego run was a pretty good idea and i think it's a good tactic in growing your channel another way to expand is to also focus on the other star wars games out there like maybe try one challenge for another game to see if there is any difference if you were to try the no Lego one with clone wars then you wouldn't be able to finish the prologue
You missed one, swing twice, then press jump. You will flip over you enemy to face their rear (I think it is to mimic a move obi wan did in a movie or something). It’s also a quicker way to position yourself for a Jedi slam attack with only one jump input instead of two. It makes lightsaber fights much less repetitive and can mix other players up in fights if you do decide to pvp in the game for some reason.
I made a follow-up vídeo to this one with that move in. I knew about it before but didn’t include it because I thought it was more of a movement option rather than a combat attack.
also, idk how this would classify as but if you jump while trying to move the opposite way your character is facing, it will do a higher jump, equivalent to a double jump which then allows you to do the "Super Jedi Slam attack" right after if you press attack (so in theory you can do the super Jedi slam attack faster)
@Toad1K from what I remember, you have to press them simultaneously (jumping and moving backwards) and you'll do a special backflip (which has a different animation) that makes you go as high as a double jump (thus allowing you to do the super jedi slam immediately after if you press attack) you'll know for sure if when you do it cause it has the same "woosh" sound effect as the one force sensitive bosses have when they jump super long distances (like jumping over a massive area or ledge to initiate the next phase of the boss)
@Toad1K yeahh ofc! I discovered it by accident myself when I first got the game on a PSP, and since I was still a child back then I found it really difficult to execute it on command lmao
ruclips.net/video/sTdey4A57zk/видео.htmlsi=O98tg3MsmXapXxRB in this video at 4:30 you'll see he does a regular double jump with the super slam and right after he'll do the backwards jump and do the super slam without jumping again in the air
That is a combat attack, however it is one the game teaches you about. All of the ones in this video are ones I haven’t ever seen anyone talk about before. Thanks for watching though, appreciate it!
@Toad1K discovered it by complete accident. I was trying to swing it like a saber and it kept interrupting me with blocks until I figured it out. I'm pretty sure it was buttons facing you, pointer facing to your left.
@Toad1K Have you mentioned attacking and immediately jumping? Leads to a jedi jump. Someone mentioned the backstab, when you attack while someone is behind you. Have you also mentioned the backflip stick lightsaber to the ground thing?
Jedi Slam is the best way to deal with bosses, but that's also why I never watch the RUclips videos of the boss fights of the game. They're 30 minutes of a dude double jumping and pressing square over and over. Ironic, they make the video shorter, but also more boring. But to be honest, the game should be way more clear on these mechanics.
what about the one where you jump in the middle of the combo, you do a spin jump like the duel ai,s do (darth maul, anakin skywalker) and end up behind the enemy.
If you’re into Star Wars or LEGO I’d *strongly* recommend playing this game. If you’ve played any of the modern LEGO games you might find it a little outdated but it still holds up so well today!
Depends. If I’m hopping on to record a quick 30 second clip for a video I’ll most likely just use keyboard. If I’m going to play for longer, or if I’m going to need precise movement for something, then I’ll use a controller. The keyboard controls are quite odd as it’s just the keyboard - you don’t use a mouse. WSAD to move, and then UHJK, LCTRL, and Space for abilities, jumping, attacking, and switching character.
As enjoyable as they were I was always disappointed over the combat difficulty of those games. No, "it's a children game" is not an excuse. If you say so, you hold children in low regard. Children are better gamers than most adults and played god of war, gta and mortal combat like games by the time this one came out.

I knew about most of these things, but I had no idea the unblockable combos were a thing, that's pretty interesting, thanks for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed!
Didn’t know about the parry, but I’ve got the “Jedi flip” in my recent follow-up vídeo to this one.
I like in how one of Luke’s unblockable finishers he just kicks you
Yeah, there are a few different animations depending on who you’re playing as.
Just like in his episode 6 fight with Vader
I love this game so much. I’ve spent 100 plus hours on it, finished all the minikit levels, AND the Bounty Hunter Missions and somehow… I’m at like 90 percent 💀
On the Wii I’m at 145 hours with only 88%. Maybe you’re missing the challenge mode blue minikits?
Probably but those levels SUUUUCCCCK 😫
My favorite thing is the glitch that you don’t continue your punch combo animation if an enemy dies in one punch. I had so many times where I would punch multiple storm troopers, kill them with one punch, and each time it would be with my guy using his right arm in the same punching motion.
I think I’ve had that happen before too. Thanks for watching!
I'm actually quite proud of my young self for finding all the attacks you mentioned in the video on his own. Plus the stab behind one.
The attack then jump though, I don't think I had ...
Above average gamer! Thanks for watching!
There is also the special jump after you do a lightsawber swing. It allows you to jump behind your enemy. Or was it only in the first game ?
That’s in The Complete Saga too!
I remember figuring this out on my own as a kid and I felt super smart.
Above average gamer
Seriously, using this after the video is very much more fun
If you do a double attack combo and jump, you will do a flip over and behind the area in front of you which can then be combined with an unblockable super jedi slam attack.
Crazy how kingdom hearts dream drop distance had the same problem with the flow motion slam attack.
I’d like to add this
On the Wii version, the button of super Jedi slam does the tradition
Swinging the remote in the air super Jedi slam has a different explosion animation and (I think) does slightly more damage
I loved this video first I've seen from this channel it was great
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!
Lego Star Wars combat is just baby's first Sekiro.
I don't know if you mentioned it, but the Jedi can also attack with a lightsaber at the tip behind the enemy without looking back.
I didn’t mention it in this video, no. It is in the follow-up vídeo though!
On the Wii port, shaking the remote gives you a Super Jedi Slam with a larger area of effect.
Good to know!
The wii version has an even stronger super jedi slam, done with the same actions as the regular one, but instead of pressing B to slam the ground, you swing the wii remote.
Didn’t know that. Also love the LEGO Yoda pfp!
Fun Fact: If you do a jump attack but use the Wii's motion controls instead of pressing B, the area of effect will be larger (equivalent to the Super Jedi Slam cheat)
Interesting! I was surprised by how bad swinging the lightsaber felt with the Wiimote. I remember it being a lot more responsive than that.
The wii remote also allows you to continuously block with motion controls as well. Just hold it horizontally and you block.
Didn’t know that! Don’t think I’ll find enough attacks to make a third video though sadly.
All I knew was 'yay sparkles' and 'oh I dodged/reflected enemy shots!' and 'oh I just finally hit that guy and it was sparkling!'
same with the backstab, it's not super consistent but when it happens it rules
17 years of playing it will do a lot to your brain lmao. ive only played it on the Wii and PC so I had no idea these achievements existed!
They say that if you have the High Ground
You can win every battle
Unless you're opponent is Obi Wan Kenobi
“Don’t try it”
Only the smartest kids figured out unblockable saber swings
If you weren’t grinding this game out after school can you really say you had a good childhood?
Proud to have known all of them
1:50 I always wondered what that whistling noise was as a kid
Yeah, there’s a slight difference in the swinging sounds. Thanks for the comment!
i knew about most of these my little brother just calls the faster shot fire the triple burst shot due to him hearing it while watching rugged E kind of useful video though curious though what the next one is going to be i also have been thinking if you can now get paid to make videos shouldn't you hire an editor to edit the vids for you? not to say that you don't do an amazing job at editing i think your editing skills are an A+ its just a thought i had that would probably make uploading quicker however the pace isn't bad at all i infect think it's great i mean small channels often start small and as they get bigger in subs the more money they can get I'd say someone like you should at least get 10 to 50 thousand subs 100 thousand subs would be an amazing milestone and anything higher is just an achievement not to mention your new mic allows greater audio and that was a really good idea also congrats on 4k subs
@ Good to know
I still have no idea how to counter slapping with a lightsaber.
What do you mean?
@@Toad1K Blaster punching. I feel like I can't block it because the other person is mashing too fast.
You have an extra on that makes the Super Jedi Slam have a larger radius. The actual diameter is barely larger than the cantina tables
I didn’t have any extras on. Unlike the later LEGO games, The Complete Saga doesn’t save what extras you have on when you restart the game.
In the wii version swinging the remote is so fun to swing the light saber
It was a lot less responsive than I remember when I was younger honestly. That might just be a me issue with my Wii though. Thanks for the comment!
also, idk how this would classify as but if you jump while trying to move the opposite way your character is facing, it will do a higher jump, equivalent to a double jump which then allows you to do the "Super Jedi Slam attack" right after if you press attack (so in theory you can do the super Jedi slam attack faster)
Didn’t know that. So you get more height in the air by turning around?
@Toad1K from what I remember, you have to press them simultaneously (jumping and moving backwards) and you'll do a special backflip (which has a different animation) that makes you go as high as a double jump (thus allowing you to do the super jedi slam immediately after if you press attack) you'll know for sure if when you do it cause it has the same "woosh" sound effect as the one force sensitive bosses have when they jump super long distances (like jumping over a massive area or ledge to initiate the next phase of the boss)
@ I’ll have to look at that, it sounds like quite a cool move. Thanks for the reply!
Don't forget bounty hunters and their thermal detonators
That is a combat attack, however it is one the game teaches you about. All of the ones in this video are ones I haven’t ever seen anyone talk about before. Thanks for watching though, appreciate it!
How am I just learning this? 😭
Playing in the Wii is the best way imo
Wii is the best console
If you hold the wiimote on its side you also insta block without a button press.
Didn’t know that!
@Toad1K discovered it by complete accident. I was trying to swing it like a saber and it kept interrupting me with blocks until I figured it out. I'm pretty sure it was buttons facing you, pointer facing to your left.
FINALLY someone points this out
You can also perfect parry lasers with lightsaber attacks
Did I not say that in the video? If not then I forgot to include it with the blocking section.
knew nearly all of them :D
An above average gamer!
@Toad1K aww thanks
@Toad1K Have you mentioned attacking and immediately jumping?
Leads to a jedi jump.
Someone mentioned the backstab, when you attack while someone is behind you.
Have you also mentioned the backflip stick lightsaber to the ground thing?
(On WII) A+A+B is how you win any fight
Lego starwars light saber pfp should be at EVO.
Thought everyone knew dis
LOVING THIS NEW CONTENT 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed!
I may have to try this sometime
Jedi Slam is the best way to deal with bosses, but that's also why I never watch the RUclips videos of the boss fights of the game. They're 30 minutes of a dude double jumping and pressing square over and over.
Ironic, they make the video shorter, but also more boring.
But to be honest, the game should be way more clear on these mechanics.
Yeah. The only reason I know about the “unblockable combo attack” is because of achievements.
Nah, I like it that you have to find out about these hidden mechanics on your own. It rewards more curious players.
I don't really remember but there is a jump counter attack I think
It's 2:30am why am I watching this lmao
There’s never a wrong time to be learning about LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga
what about the one where you jump in the middle of the combo, you do a spin jump like the duel ai,s do (darth maul, anakin skywalker) and end up behind the enemy.
I’ve made a follow-up video to this one where that move is included!
@@Toad1K lol, made that comment before i knew you already did. good videos i didnt know about the backwards shot!
Neat video, and I liked it, but it was a little hard to understand you at times. Especially during the outro.
Glad you enjoyed! And you didn’t miss anything during the outro, just me promoting a previous video and thanking the viewer for watching.
I don’t even play this game. Why am I watching this?
If you’re into Star Wars or LEGO I’d *strongly* recommend playing this game. If you’ve played any of the modern LEGO games you might find it a little outdated but it still holds up so well today!
Yeah jedi slam is all you need
Like we don't know any of this? I swear though the stronger Saber swing, I somehow did it 3 times in the original game.
I think it’s just down to how well you can time the swings. Thanks for the comment, appreciate it!
@Toad1K no I mean 3 hard swings instead of 2. Might have been a bug idk.
You didn't do the double swing long jump.
So the combo is similar to Assasin creed 1?
Never played, sorry!
Do you play with keyboard or Controller
WSAD to move, and then UHJK, LCTRL, and Space for abilities, jumping, attacking, and switching character.
you missed one with lightsaber ;)
The swing-and-then-jump?
None of this was hidden bro
It probably is common knowledge to be fair. Just not something I’ve ever seen anyone talk about on RUclips before.
YEESSSS WOOOWW YESSSS ANOTHER TOAD1K VIDEO IS OUT WOOOOOW
I AM SO HAPPY RIGHTNOW YEEEESSSSSS NIIIIGGGGGGGAAAAL
Thanks!
I refuse to the the slam just because it’s too broken and boring
As enjoyable as they were I was always disappointed over the combat difficulty of those games. No, "it's a children game" is not an excuse. If you say so, you hold children in low regard. Children are better gamers than most adults and played god of war, gta and mortal combat like games by the time this one came out.
A lot of the combat is quite mindless. Just press the attack and jump button repeatedly.

dont get why people care so much about this mediocre baby game
Calling a popular and well-loved LEGO video game a “mediocre baby game” is… a choice. Do you dislike all of the LEGO games or is it just specifically The Complete Saga?
