- what up, john_doe774 here. Ever since i finished uploading the soundtrack of army of zin so i decided to do a complete mastered walkthrough by each and every level. (Maximo 1 ost is available, look at my playlist) this game is fun but... its completely hard. (oh please this game i find it it too easy man. i mean i will admit as a kid back then i died a lot and get frustrated and yet beat it! until now i could beat it with no problems.) And also if you think im gonna do a commentary for this game well me i don't. just a silenced walkthrough. please hope you enjoy the video. ;)
oh here's some pro tips.....
to fix the camera press L1 (you can't use the right analog stick)
the undead ground slows you down and will kill you so start "hopping" kangaroo jack...
out of money? replay grave danger!
need death coins? replay grave danger!
need extra lifes? replay grave danger!
need extra armor? replay grave danger!
need everything? you guessed it!!! replay grave danger!!!!! LOL
and last but not least? the absolute most important thing is.... DON'T DIE!!!!! Good luck.
aka.. you gotta replay the same level over and over till your body armor is ready!!!
but also try a different level if you want...

Yeah if I recall there was going to be a 3rd game which had new mechanics like being able to climb ladders but if I recall it was canned when the studio that was working on it died off
just yanked out my old ps2 and had this game...one of the few i never beat. damn the memories

Can I just thank you for keeping these videos up? Whenever I get that Maximo itch, you are the one who I always come to for the best content. I know it's over eight years old at this point, but it's a testament to just how well this still holds up.

I did replay both the maximo games and challenged myself months ago, I gotta say I still enjoyed them no matter what.

This was one of my first games when I got a PlayStation2 back then in 2005. I was only 8 years old. I'd play this game for weeks without finishing it. Actually I never finished the game. I don't even remember how I lost it. Probably gave it to one of my friends. Now I'm in my mid 20s it's funny looking at these one hour walk throughs. To a game that was the dark souls of my childhood

This one takes me back, Dead Heat was always the bane of my existence. Only thing that makes me sad is that this game is extremely underrated, for ages, I searched RUclips for anything on this and found barely anything.
Maximo, an obscure part of Capcom history, and also tied to the Ghosts 'n Goblins canon in a unique sense :)
Just started this game again and having an amazing time. As a kid I was to dumb to play this game and only got to the 2nd world. Now I just finished the first world without dying to much but I missed many secrets. Nice to watch some1 who is real good at the game and finds all the secrets.Thx for the walkthrough.

I bought this game when the PS2 was on its way out (around 2006 or 2007). Got it at my local gamestop for $2.99 I think and I remember it being a purple disc and I had a fat PS2. The disc had a couple scratches and it wouldn't play on my PS2. I could only play the first level then it would freeze every time. I ended up selling all my PS2 stuff which included several valuable games for both PS2 and PS1 for $35 in 2009 so I could get a PS3. I kick myself in the ass everyday for doing that. If I kept all the games, they would be worth easily $500 today, I had some good shit.

Underrated series but fkn hell was it the Dark Souls before Dark Souls. At least until the sequel eased the difficulty.

1. Find all hidden chest
2. Destroy all enemies
3. Collect every Koin in the level
anything more ?, im i not supposed to die once
1-3 yes. collecting extra life still counts as well. and dying? that im not sure to be honest..
oh and destroy the torches and tombstones.

There should be a prequel to this game called Maximo Ghouls of Grim where Grim owns the spear and tries to rule over the kingdom and Achilles "helps" you only to dick you over and claim the staff for himself. The opening seems like the end of a game anyway where as soon as Maximo opens the door to the castle the credits roll by.

I'm about to buy this on PSN store. before I buy, can anyone tell me if this game is hard or not?
well i'll admit, it's "somewhat" kinda hard if it's your first time playing maximo. but the game is fun, it has it own classic feel, and difficult level design and enemies. but if you're use to dying a lot, losing continues, or any mistakes throughout the game it's up to you.

btw if you're familiar to ghost n goblins (or ghouls n ghost) dark souls (but in this game style), then you'll might have a quite of a journey dude.

unfortunately the pool is the ONLY place to save your game or when you defeated a boss and rescued one of the sorceress (you'll be given three items as an option, one is armor, two is to save your game, or three receive a kiss from her). and yea it's kind of a bummer tho. and im glad you're enjoying it dude.
