I saw a theory on another video of this track that since in IDW Eggman comes back with complete memory loss, he could have been knocked out the entire fight, explaining why he doesn't speak at all during all three phases. We could have just been fighting the Phantom Ruby the entire time.
This song was so incredible it genuinely made an otherwise standard and even somewhat boring boss fight into one of the most epic Sonic set pieces of its era, and you somehow managed to make it even more epic, outstanding job

As someone who loves Forces, this orchestral version of the theme is excellent! (The most i could critique is that i wished it kept the guitar rift or had another instrument do it.) 👏🏻
Sonic barely speaks. Eggman doesn't speak at all. one of the most epic music ever, to one on the biggest threats ever, but no Super Sonic. this fight is so weird. but that just makes is so much better for me

Tomoya Ohtani specifically is responsible for the composition of this absolutely beautiful piece. It legit almost makes me want to cry while listening to it. Great work on this like always. 👌

i think it might just be my disdain for sonic forces overall haha, i actually didn't mind this one. the game just feels half baked at times (more often than not) so it sorta felt like it when the original song played too
