One of my absolute favorite songs. Makes me think and feel so many different things all at once. Romance, love, butterflies, memories, nostalgia, warmth, happiness, even a touch of sadness... it has it all.
The best era of our lifetime. I miss the 90s dearly, it was a peak time for civilisation. Music, tv, movies, books, everyone was out more, before cell phones really took off.
Cell phones ruined human interaction, and gave governments everywhere eyes and ears into everything. I feel so badly for the younger generations that have grown up knowing nothing but parallel lives in a sterile and sterile digital jungle, in constant subtle paranoia of reputation and recordings. Modern culture is so ugly and voyeuristic.
I was 17 years old in 1999 when i first listened to this song and watched the movie she's all that. Now 21 years later i am 38 years old still listening to this song and watch the movie on dvd. Both the movie and the song doesn't bore me at all!

I've said this before and I'll say it again: this song is a peaceful summer evening translated into musical notes. I'm sitting in my bedroom as I type this with evening falling on a day in midspring. It was nice in the afternoon but it's now a bit too cool to have the windows open. I'll be happier than anyone born Gen Z, even with high probability of dying a lot more early than them, having experienced the 90's and 2000's in full. This sort of passion, love and pure human soul everyone had back then. Thanks to god or whoever decided I was going to be born to experience these.

You always get that classic wild and undeniable 90's/2000's teenage romance vibes from such love songs, not only they were in almost all teenage movies and teenage tv shows expressing romantic and sad moments between two of love, it also felt the same in the real world. Iconic, breath taking just kiss her!
This is my first time listening to the original song. I was watching Kiss Me (Kill Me) and wanted to hear the original just to see how similar the two were. Still gave me shivers, I was waiting for the song to turn suddenly, but nothing.
Yeah, it's spooky how despite the song being completely upbeat, it has a looming fear of turning dark after having watched Kiss me (Kill me). -Also here from watching that of course.
Love this song! I graduated in 85. Married in 92. Our kids were little when this came out. Brings back so many good memories. Before the world literally went nuts.
It used to be the world was big enough you could just move if things were going nuts. Now going nuts is a damn plague and no matter where you go it'll follow. Hope you don't have a nut allergy and beat the nuts back regardless.
Just heard this on the radio today and was hit by a wave of nostalgia so strong it brought tears to my eyes. The world has gotten so insane since this was released. I would do a great many things to have it back the way it was.
I do the same thing. Geez, I miss the world we knew and took for granted. Everything we knew is gone. Regional department stores that were around for over 100 years gone, 27 airlines down to 6, traditions that were cherished gone. Worldwide governments have become more corrupt than could ever have imagined. Christian values our countries were founded on have been tossed. People dress like slobs and have no concern for their fellow man or national pride. Give them their phones, tablets and social media and they are happy. So sad.
Absolute truth…watching this…you can feel how much better the world was in 1999 & just how far we’ve fallen in this country in 24 years…it’s almost unbelievable how far we’ve fallen

Remember being in a tent in my backyard with a little radio and headphones. Two in the morning, hoping like hell that my radio request would be played. It was. I was hopelessly in love with someone I knew even then that I could never have. She probably never heard the dedication. About twenty-two years later, and we're still friends, we still talk, and while she doesn't know it, I associate this cheesy, romantic little song with her. Always have, always will.
If that magical 90s never ended, which in my opinion is the best era that we grew up in....Then we wouldn't be stuck with the stupidity of Today's society with Technology being relied on by Today's Youth.
I used to sit by the radio when I was a kid and wait for this song to come on and when it did I would imagine I was flying with the fireflies. Easier times, love this song!
I dedicated this masterpiece to my dear mum mutter MNJF aka PR, 13-11-1949 07h 07-2-2024, 15h08, but she is alive on my heart for eternity, forever and who is listening this anthem on 2025 and so on?
I dunno if it was better in terms of political climate, social awareness, etc, but however you slice it the 90s were far less miserable and predictable than the last decade has been. I know that's probably nostalgia glasses talking, but, as elzar said above me, I do miss it as well.

This song. I was 14 years old and we went with a department of our school to the Ardennen in Belgium for a fieldtrip for a few days. On the last day we went to a small bar with a dancefloor on top of a hill. When this song came on, and especially at the 2.00 minute mark of the song everybody went crazy on the dancefloor. I wish we realized at that time how precious this moment would be; a moment in our life without worries, work, bills and stress..while we were young, careless, having fun and having the time of our lives. What a beautiful time to remember. Time flies people...

it's illegal an iconic song has so less views. Who don't know this song?
I used to sit by the radio when I was a kid and wait for this song to come on and when it did I would imagine I was flying with the fireflies. Easier times, love this song!
🤣🤣🤣🤣
I dedicated this masterpiece to my dear mum mutter MNJF aka PR, 13-11-1949 07h 07-2-2024, 15h08, but she is alive on my heart for eternity, forever and who is listening this anthem on 2025 and so on?
There is a lot of skill that goes into creating a good pop song that is infectious and avoids the pitfalls of not being trivial.
My wife plays this in the car in front of the kids for a good laugh. I cry every time this song is played
I want to live in the 90’s so bad
I do miss it. It was a good time.
@@elzar760 90`s was ok but the 80`s was epic.
@@Maax1200 indeed. I was just a teen in the 90s so I was able to appreciate it more at the time. Now I completely agree about the 80s
I dunno if it was better in terms of political climate, social awareness, etc, but however you slice it the 90s were far less miserable and predictable than the last decade has been. I know that's probably nostalgia glasses talking, but, as elzar said above me, I do miss it as well.
Was a great time to be alive, but in a some way you weren't missing much either
She is so talented and those lyrics are so detailed and brilliant. So romantic ❤
My late brother Phangie s favourite song 🎶…..may ur Soul continue to rest in peace ❤
1999- Summer in Mexico ! I was 12. In my Grandmas and grandpas home
I would watch this on MTV… what a beautiful summer! This song always reminds me of that moment !
Cuantos años tenías!?😊
Yo tenía 15
1:58 my favourite part. And who is still listening this masterpiece:)
I graduated high school 2013 and still remember this song playing in homecoming and prom lmao, glad to lived in the late 90s-early 2000s
I heard the first time on 8 year old, now I'm 26 year old. This song make me think about the autumn season, look around anything as a brown color with the wind cold on sunset ❤
This song holds a special place in all our hearts ❤
Very good cover version::

I used to secretly love this song when I was in my early teens (secretly cause it was too girly) and now when I'm 35 I finally started learning to play the guitar and it makes me so happy to be able to play it and just enjoy it:)
0:35 this part makes me nostalgic about my childhood😢
Discovered this beautiful lady while teaching in Pakistan. Dreamy voiced.
That look and that voice does it for me. Oh god she’s gorgeous
A sweet voice.
100% agree!!! She's an Angel!!
This song brings back so many memories from my small hometown and childhood friends. 99 was my first year in high school and this song was iconic. When I hear it all those memories come back like a dream.
This song ALWAYS triggers my nostalgia in 1998/9 waking up for school and turning on MTV and watching the early music videos while we got ready…man time flies
This song is so beautifully wrought in the studio. Really tight, iconic use of instrumentation and feel. Real clean. So nice. That bass line after, "Kiss Me," it's just perfect.
I just love how young love and innocence is captured in such a perky song that can only make you giddy with butterflies.
Thanks Sixpence:)
Right on...
Learning this song on guitar has been an extremely blessing journey
thank you
This is still such a MASTERPIECE
It's 2024 anybody home?? Brings me back to those good old childhood days...tearing up😢😢
Aquí 2024 junio ❤
one of the prettiest songs out there
Shoutout to the NHL for reminding us of this beautiful song.
This song played at the kiss cam and I’ve never felt so alone
I'll still come back to this no matter how old I get.. this still hits like it was yesterday.. what a yr that was 😊

rip ❤️ sorry for your loss. but its nice to have something you remember him by, hopefully it brings good memories and not sad ones.
Much love!
I had completely forgotten about this song, then got transported right back to the 90s when I heard it here again. It seems like you blink and an era is over. Sad, but good memories. Hard to describe the feelings.
getting ready to turn 40 in 2 months. This song took me back to being 17 and kissing the love of my life while sitting in my little ford ranger with the radio on. It was a beautiful evening in KY. Sadly I lost her in 2001. We broke up and she took her own life. I still love and miss her so much !
Today this song is roughly 25 years old. Thankfully perfection lasts forever.
Who's listening this during quarantine?
Good song
Yes
The 90s RIP Carolyn lady king I love her..... biggs rip bunns
Nice and sexy
Bruh no cap can’t forget where I came from lol
A beautiful song sung by a beautiful woman with a beautiful voice!!
I know a guy who slept with her and said she was a lousy lay.
I feel sorry for anyone that didn’t get to live in the 80’s & 90’s. You’ll never know how much fun we had. You’ll only ever wonder.
Oh shut up
@@9rockbeatz see what I mean, lol. Don’t be so jelly
@@Scratchingforcash matter of fact I am jelly, you really aren't sorry. Are you?
I’m 16 and I’ll always be so so jealous I didn’t get to be alive in the 80s and 90s. Like honestly
@@Flubbsxx it really was fun, check out some older music videos like Madonna, Sting, Bruce Springsteen, Queen, Metallica and definitely check out some older movies like Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles and stuff like that. I’m 50 and I can tell ya those times were amazing! Ask your parents. Also check out Vanilla Ice’s 90’s Mustang. You’ll thank me later. Goodluck in life!! 16 was an amazing age for me!!
One thing these classic songs prove is you will never find the hateful attacks people subject each other to, because we are all just too busy vibing and missing our chill childhood.
Guitar strumming, accordian playing, sweet vocal singing and the earths aligning for this iconic 90s tune thats become not only a favourite but an all time classic.
June 2024
Ohhh... esta cancion me hace retroceder a mis quince años. Aquel añorado año 98. ❤
I remember immediately falling in love with this song after hearing it in “she’s all that”. Leaving the theater I was singing it all the way home 😫
once this came on in the supermarket and i locked eyes with this girl. we’re now married
this was my first ever boyfriends and mine 'song', still get chills when I listen years later
this song was playing at my job the other day and now i just think of my crush lol :/
How romantic , but no one asked you really 🤷🏻♀️🙄
@@vixyvelasquez9898 didn’t realise i had to be asked to comment
Wallad 17 so u just want to rub in our faces about your “ happily ever after “ life , pathetic 🙄🤮🤮🤮🤮
idk why but this song brings out an emotion where you fell for your crush and hoping he'd do anything to you. it also encapsulates the longing feeling of something (summer ish) but i can't figure out what
Meraviglia delle meraviglie questa canzone ero una ragazzina ma la ricordo ancora. Come se fosse stato ieri❤
2:38 that was the cutest thing 😭😭😭😭
yes !!!!! 😭😭
Who couldn't love this song? It's beautiful & timeless.
