I wish the frock coat, anachronistic as it may be, would make a comeback for formal day weddings. To the modern eye, it looks less dated than a morning tail coat would despite the morning coat being the replacement for a frock. Fantastic ensemble as always!
ive had that thought its quite common to see people use dark overcoats as a jacket at which point its basically a frockcoat. it would just take someone selling them marketed as a modern item.
I just got 2 in October. I’m only 13. And pretty poor. Boy oh boy was it hard too convince my dad to give me 90 bucks as a loan to pay of the hat, but i did it, luckily. $90 is actually pretty good and on the low end of the spectrum for them so it was a really good investment, and because i dress Victorian/edwardian 24/7, I wear it all the time. I got another one not long after because our neighbors are antiques dealers so they had a top hat. It’s silk plush, and a lil more beat up than the perfect condition one I bought, but very beautiful and I little bit older, being from the late 1800’s instead of the 1920s-30s. Anyway, I agree with you and would definitely say they are VERY worth it and also VERY expensive. I feel incredibly fortunate and lucky that I, at the age of 13, have 2 very beautiful top hats in my hat collection. Cheers, Theo
@@TheoTheTimeTravelingMagicianthat a great deal tho how could you wear that 24/7 without it getting fricked because I would love to do the same but last time I brought something vintage to school it got fucked up they were just joking but still my hat was gone so I’m not even allowed to bring anything fancy to school anymore. Was really irritating since I only just now started getting into vintage clothing and I don’t have a lot of stuff yet
Thinking about that era just makes me sad, because you can tell just by the way men dressed that they commanded respect in every facet of their lives. Nowadays, men wear shorts out of occasion and dress like boys. Men were men in the 19th century. Sigh.
Bad guys never looked so good ✨️
Love the dark humor as much as the outfit 😎

considering the term robber-baron was based off of the German Raubritter of the Rhine, feels fairly fitting for you to do this lol
Dark humour love it.

The walking class, because of the advance of technology is now a driving class I assume?
**working**
@@TheoTheTimeTravelingMagician no, it says walking for a reason, read the subtitles when he says "working"
@@wolodymyrkutschera4808 Automatically generated subtitles are sometimes off 😂
