I wonder what Irene’s other Spanish language is, though. She doesn’t sound like the (proto)typical native Catalan speaker with their broad l’s (similar to the l in Portuguese) and doesn’t have any tendency to introduce more nasal sounds than Spanish already has which kind of rules out Galician, so that makes me think she might speak Basque/Euskera, but I’m not sure. As I understand it, that’s also a language that is not spoken by too many people.

If there were other languages involved that would have become much harder. Like Romanian which is also a national language, and those others which are not national languages like Sardo, Galitian, Catalan, Asturian, Aragonese, Dalmatian, Ladino, etc...If that entire melting pot were involved that would have been so challanging, however, very difficult to administrate. Romanian could still have become involved tho.

Yes! I don’t speak any of these languages but know Romanian is a Romance language and would love to hear similarities with it and others. Especially Portuguese because I think they sound a little similar with some of the pronunciation

Os portugueses não podem te ajudar nesse caso. Os vários sotaques brasileiros são diferentes entre si, mas são ainda mais diferentes dos sotaques portugueses. Meu primeiro contato com o português europeu foi pela internet, e eu lembro que tinha muita dificuldade de entendê-los. Na época o RUclips não disponibilizava a função de desacelerar o vídeo, então eu tive que aprender por insistência. Pra você ter uma ideia eu já ouvi de muitos europeus que o português europeu dos como RUSSO, e já ouvi de italianos que eles têm certa facilidade de entender o português brasileiro.

I'd say guessing french is much simpler than Spanish worldwide due to its particular accent. Spanish is a little more complicated because of the lack of a distinctive accent. If you're, let's say, from Asia and are not so used to any romance language, it's easier to identify French.
It's the second most native spoken language in the world after Mandarin. However, It would not surprise me if among Asians and Africans, French is actually recognized more than Spanish. And since that's where most people live... I think it's a tough call.

Como o canal tem um foco internacional o inglês acaba sendo a língua comum de comunicação. Ficaria difícil traduzir em diferentes idiomas, o que daria era pra eles colocarem as legendas no próprio youtube que aí dá pra raduzir certinho, na tradução automática é bem ruim.

As a portuguese I have to say that pt-pt is closer to Spanish than italian is. The pt-br because of the pronunciation mainly make it sound less close I guess.
Acredito que foi apenas a percepção alí no momento, e que não significa nada. Tanto o Pt-br como o Pt-pt são mais semelhantes ao Espanhol, afinal eu como brasileiro não consigo entender nada em italiano, mas consigo entender espanhol se for pronunciado lentamente. Brasil é rodeado de países falantes da língua espanhola e inclusive os americanos até acham que falamos espanhol, devido a semelhança e pelo Brasil estar na América Latina. No entanto quando comparado o vocabulário em si é facto que o português e espanhol são mais parecidos, e o pt-pt mais que o pt-br. @@AfroAngola I speak Spanish and when I hear Romanian I can understand a lot. It does have a lot of Slavic influence but its base is still Romance, so most basic words come from Latin.

As a portuguese I have to say that pt-pt is closer to Spanish than italian is. The pt-br because of the pronunciation mainly make it sound less close I guess.
Acredito que foi apenas a percepção alí no momento, e que não significa nada. Tanto o Pt-br como o Pt-pt são mais semelhantes ao Espanhol, afinal eu como brasileiro não consigo entender nada em italiano, mas consigo entender espanhol se for pronunciado lentamente. Brasil é rodeado de países falantes da língua espanhola e inclusive os americanos até acham que falamos espanhol, devido a semelhança e pelo Brasil estar na América Latina. Então ela teve um pensamento diferentes de outros americanos
@@LucasxGamezcc não são só os americanos que pensam isso, os próprios espanhóis e italianos acham que as duas línguas são mais parecidas entre elas do que o espanhol com o português porque o ouvido capta a cadência das palavras e frases antes da palavra e frases em sim, e melodicamente são realmente mais próximos. No entanto quando comparado o vocabulário em si é facto que o português e espanhol são mais parecidos, e o pt-pt mais que o pt-br. Sabemos que apesar de serem uma mesma língua empregamos palavras distintas no uso quotidiano.

Eu percebo o espanhol, italiano e francês sem problemas independentemente da velocidade, por serem línguas com uma mesma raiz e por estar exposta a música, cinema e tv dos países, sem recorrer a dublagem.

De uma visão normal, para um brasileiro comum é muito mais fácil entender o espanhol do que o italiano. Simplesmente tem algumas palavras que não existem no nosso vocabulário, ao contrário do espanhol que tem mais palavras nesse sentido. Hoje eu falo espanhol bem, no entanto lembro-me que no início eu conseguia entender claramente o espanhol desde que fosse falado lentamente. Mesmo não sabendo falar, eu conseguia entender a conversa, algumas palavras são as mesmas ou semelhantes. Já o italiano até hoje eu não entendo nada, pois tem umas palavras que não dá pra entender a conversa. Para mim não restam dúvidas, o "espanhol latino-americano" é muito conectado ao português-br. Creio que essa opinião seja muito mais popular do que os que acham que italiano é mais parecido...

Romanian is indeed a Romance language, but it has a lot of Slavic influences. It makes sense since it's surrounded by Eastern European countries
@@AfroAngola I speak Spanish and when I hear Romanian I can understand a lot. It does have a lot of Slavic influence but its base is still Romance, so most basic words come from Latin.
@I exist I speak French and Spanish and I never disagreed with either statements. I think sometimes Romanian is forgotten because of the geography. Romania 🇷🇴 doesn't share the border with the other 4 countries.
