Dainese Alligator Tex Enduro Jacket Review

A short review of the features and construction of Dainese's version of an Enduro jacket. Think Klim Dakar or similar, although this could also be used as a lighter weight cooler weather adventure jacket! Usual Dainese style and quality of construction here.
As usual, I bought this jacket with my own money to try out!

So at a 42” chest that would put you in a 54 according to the Dainese chart, but you felt the 52 was roomy? Stumbled across this jacket today and found a good price. 42.5” chest and a little stocky at 5’9” 185, so I was leaning 54…

Yeah, each Dainese jacket can have such a different cut. I’m a 54 in a Solarys mesh and it’s tight, this in a 52 was fairly loose fitting, a 50 in a D Explorer2 fit great (although not the liner)…
If you’re going separate armor, id lean 54 - but otherwise a 52 might be perfect.

@@cblais19 interesting that they vary so much. I think I’ll lean 54 then, as my measurements put me square in that category and I do have some armor (Moose XC1, which I think is great value) that I may run from time to time.
I suppose it’s a narrow niche, but I wish there were more jackets that came with armor + the removable sleeves; just gives you a lot of flexibility for on and off-road riding. Was looking at the Dakar (sizes tough to come by) and the tour master horizon trailhead (good looking shell but no armor pockets at all), but neither quite does it all. Jacket looks nice, thanks for the thorough review!

Is this waterproof? Idk and i wanna ride with this in cold/rainy areas 🤔

No, lightly water resistant only

Do you recommend this over klim dakar???

I do not for the intended dual sport/ off road ADV purpose. The Klim offering is far more flexible and nice to wear, while offering better venting.
