you can cut the oil drain bolt on the side of the engine that hits the front frame section and slide the whole thing away from your rear fender/frame about a half inch, just enough wiggle room. theres a 2nd oil drain bolt on the other side so you can still change the oil 😎
Your trouble is more than likely the jet. I went to put a stage one kit on my BT200X and it has a one way jet. I couldn't get it out with the tools I had and did everything but the jet and it ran like crap when you would try to get on it. I later got the jet out and put in a bigger one and it runs like a dream.
i did this and upgraded my carb to a 24mm anyone know any intake pipes(i forget what their called but the pipe that connects the carb to the engine) my carb touches the frame and i have to have it bent a little to fit good
I’m sure it is. And I’m sure you don’t feel any difference. But I’m ocd lol I flipped my clutch so my engine could be centered. And added a gas tank to delete the stock tank. So much space now, almost wish I went with the 301
Your clutch is backwards, your gas cap should be directly between the bars in your frame. If you cut the head off the front oil drain plug, it will allow you to adjust the motor even more
You should have put a torque converter on it and used a shorter carburetor on it...I have swapped a few 212 on different type of these bikes..the torque converters would have helped you get up to speed very quickly man
Did your throttle get harder to twist with new motor? I did the swap and now the throttle is hard to twist. Maybe i need a new cable. Just wierd i didn't have any issue with old engine.
Tommy Carpenter the predator motor has a slide trottle, that needs to be loosened. Motor was made for pressure washers where the throttle stays in one spot. Also if you did that. You need to rig up a return spring. I showed that in this video.
@@FcDominick yep. I did all that. Im removing the cable and check for issues there. Thanks for the help. Its appreciated. Ill let ya know after i get back to it what the final issue was.
@@FcDominick ok im check that out I spray started fluid on it it drove up the street cut off immediately when I let go the the throttle it starts and cuts off again

Man I can’t explain how thankful i am you made this video i’m doing the same swap but couldn’t get the thing to fit. love the video.
Flip the clutch and it will fit better
Mean video bro 🔥

vid is great i did the same thing they did with the factory plate and jus put a few washers inbetween motor and plate to clear carb
just finished the same swap all you have to do is dent the frame and the carb will cover the dent… no need in all that extra work🙃
I saw a kid do this but he didn't use the adaptor plate which gave him just enough wiggle room , he drilled new holes fit good
We built 3. All different ways. Just a guide, how you do it is your choice.
That motor is not center at all. Should have flipped the clutch so it would set more center.

Flip the clutch and you can center the the engine
It’s fine

Ever think about mounting the engine vertically, so the head is by the steering stem?
i had a question cuz i’m swapping mine for a predator 212 did u drill new holes in the mouting plate?
Yes
I oput the same exact engine in my bike and it sounds like it’s gonna explode it makes a really loud noise any ideas?
I hope they didn’t forget to put oil in it
How do you fix a wheel
How did you get the smaller chain to fit the bigger chain clutch?
Same # chain. Think it’s #35
Hello I dont know if you to see my comment but where do you bouth the clutch for the predator 212cc engine thanks best regards Sam
Next time instead of all that cutting and welding. You can just go onto go power sports and by the 80/105 motor mount plate for the 212 swap!!!
Seems more expensive. Making stuffs more fun
We have the same bike….we put in a Briggs 8 horse in it
I am missing that damn chain tensioner.......where can i get one?
Harbor freight tools or Amazon
Atleast if you find another mini bike later you can swap over all you parts and engine

Got a link??

You put the clutch where it lines up with the rear sprocket. It can be either way.
What size chain is that? Can you drop the link please?
I think it’s just #35 chain. Just buy a length like 10 feet. It’s cheap. Make sure the chain match the clutch sprocket. I buy everything off eBay
Flip the clutch
Edward scissorhands nah, it’s fine. Works good
can I use the stock throttle cable for the 212 motor?
Yes
Where did you get the clutch?
Chris Hieatt go powersports I think. You can get them anywhere. Just get the right one for the shaft size

Do you mean putting a shorter carb and torque converter on the 80cc?
What kind of carburetor did you use?
Clutch shoulda been flipped the other way then slide the engine to the left more…. That’s how mine is and the carb don’t hit…

Tommy Carpenter spray some lube between the case and the cable.
@@FcDominick will do thanks
@@FcDominick i streched out the return spring too make a little weaker. That helped alot
I see at 16:33 you didn’t cut the frame
link for exhuast ?
Frankie Melero it’s just some eBay stuff
My son monster won't start I try everything it start cut off and I change clutch and spark plug
Motor maybe low on oil. A lot of small motors have a shut off.
Possibly the kill switch on the bars or the wires to the motor might be loose
@@FcDominick ok im check that out I spray started fluid on it it drove up the street cut off immediately when I let go the the throttle it starts and cuts off again
Take out the governer to
you should send me that old motor i need that
