this is lack of understanding how these units work yes its getting harder and every company does stuff different but when you learn how to use the controller its actually easier and quicker and yes new tech seems to break more often at first and were the guinea pigs. but once u got it down it saves u time got a ten ton with a supply fan error shut down entire unit is the fan bad ? this is were i start learning. 1 dumb video at a time been doing com restaurant for 43 years first time Ive seen a symbio but ill be the goto guy soon thats how its done ps the pic is my wife not me

Love your videos! I’m a commercial service technician for a major mechanical company in San Antonio. Appreciate the very detailed video! I find this stuff pretty cool too lol so thanks for showing some Real World HVAC!
I now have a 25 and 15 ton unit to start up with the Symbio 700 controls. And I have never seen this before. I’m trying to find all the information I can on this system
@@hunterwarren8565What I've figured out so far, run EVERYTHING out to the condensing unit Fire Alm included. Be sure to run two bacnet cables from condenser to AHU for ICM ands modbus for the VFD if you have one or it won't run. Don't use the R terminal for anything use the 24v next to the ICM connection. Also be sure to jump your 24v at AHU up to the ICM connection to power up options module. But the best advice I can give is never start wondering ...why? Because there is no answer.
Could you use the app on the old board to copy parameters on a note pad then input them in the configuration of the new board manually ? I’ve never done it before but if the display is only thing that’s messed up it might work unless some other component within the board doesn’t allow the access to the board anymore because of the malfunction.
I can see on the app Backup and upload options under configuration tab I assume if plagues USB stick and perform backup operation will transfer all data into USB then upload it into new board.
So when it comes to things like these if you don't know it's best not to put something in you should call the factory and ask them to send you the information for the unit based on the model and serial specific to that unit because by setting it up without knowing each parameter you will end up having a unit that barely works if it works at all not sure if you went back the day after but give us a heads up but I agree they should have a QR code or even just a 256 megabyte thumb drive in a plastic baggie that you could leave in the unit with its preloaded set points
Those days are gone you wil not get help from manufacturers anymore now days they would rather send you an engineer and you get charged lots of money. game has changed you hardly find people willing to share knowledge.
I really like to see your video, but you keep moving your camera so much that I get sick motion. Sorry! Maybe your next video thanks for taking the time to shearing your knowledge.
Spent 2 days and hours with tech support / ordered board from their request all for a transformer that tripped when prior tech moved hot and common to control board. What a useless power transfer board EVER. give me a contactor and a transformer ill wire up anything. Get into circuits and its always a mystery
The Precident is junk and the Symbio is worse.I've bought my last Trane units
Quite a few people is saying that about this setup,,,, 🤷♂️I am starting to believe it

Have you found some good info? Starting up my first system with symbio 700 controls and ripping my hair out trying to understand these things😂

I believe that copy of settings from board to board is possible, however I never did it
Yes, you can save the configuration on your phone. Then, after installing a new board, you would download the previously saved configuration.

Perhaps this new to me too
Trane…. The new goodman
Why would you say that?

Are you simply have to do is look up the model number nomenclature. The model number is the key to have the unit is built.
I have unit running but both compressors only run at 50%. Any help on this . Not getting a signal to the unloaded
You have one of these with digital scrolls ?
Where, how did u get symbio app for your phone
APP STORE
I have some this things where the new guys know the app
But don’t know how fix them lol
😂 thanks for watching
Memory dump send unit back for repair and keep extra on hand for it
What would you do upon arriving in this situation with no display ?
How hard is the removal an reinstall of this unit
Control board or unit?
Vvzt is vfd drive like ecm inside if not it's 100% on off is cvzt
Please elaborate!
Their should ne there a usb card there in case u swap boards the usb stays and u plug it in to reprogram
Could you do that in this case? Board not displaying @ all!
You do not need a usb. You can save the existing config to your phone. Then, upload the config to the new board.
I think your yellow and black should be a twisted pair and shielded
Sounds just about right for communication

How is the working of air acondicioning in winter in New York?
Do you mean if I have air-conditioning work in the winter?
Call Trane 2 Configurate
No fun in that
Symbio controls are for anybody who has nothing better to do with life
Wow this symbio controller isn't a favorite out there i see 🤔

York has same set up
Really
These units are ridiculous. What is the purpose of this unit.
It's a heat pump outdoor unit with complex controls
@@D2DNYAC no it isn't
@@D2DNYAC well , yours might be
@D2DNYAC consider yourself lucky if that's what you've delt with. The twin condensers get fun.
You should learn the equip before doing a video sir
Good point
As an HVAC installer that works exclusively on trane. The symbio is crap. Over complicated for no benefit.
