There’s only two of us now but kept the dishwasher. It really keeps the kitchen cleaner. All the dishes are out of sight So a clean kitchen after every meal. It’s a life changer.
Hi Raquel, the list seems like a good idea love. 😊You’re right, organising always seems to land in our laps, (probably because we do it best) 😉 aww bless your Woody, beautiful boy 💙
Yeah balancing things is huge. I don’t mind doing all the house work so much, sure I complain sometimes but that’s just venting. The thing that gets me is society expect me to be home raising house and family 24/7 while holding down a full time job, I’m just expected to be on call
Hi Raquel great video , glad to hear your landlord is getting jobs done for you , & as the saying goes rome wasn't built in a day 😊 Woody loves a bath 😂 Take care my lovely ❤
Hi thanks for the motivation. For the rest, story of my life! I guess we women just have to deal with everything, but we can do it! Thanks for just being you, you inspire me, and I love your video's ❤❤❤ You are doing a great job, i know it is hard and exhausting. Have a great sunday. Greetings from the Netherlands!
I reckon once the coal fire is out you’ll notice a big difference in the level of dust, at least my in laws did when they went from coal fires to gas central heating. Yes you’re right, my daughter is always the one that gets called if there’s an issue with the kiddies at school,it’s so frustrating.
I make a list for those little extra jobs but just kind of clean as I see type thing generally. I do enjoy ticking off done jobs when I do make a list as you feel that sense of accomplishment.
You can still show us how the new heating is coming along I'm sure you guys will love it come winter awww woody is just the best love love love him come to Canada for a vist I have the room lol did they keep the house the same color when they redid the outside
@@judithwoomer7747 Thank you. The dryer is getting fixed 6th August so at least I can have that working again. If they can’t fix it they will replace it for me. Keeping the bins out is working great I am going to get a small counter top bin for tea bags and bits like that but so far so good
@@RaquelTrotter I just use an empty ice cream tub for a worktop bin. Serve the same purpose.. Potato and veg peel, bits of wrapper etc. No extra expenses.
@@traceyjane4288 This is going to be the next thing I try. I used to clean holiday caravans and hotel rooms for a living and there was a set procedure for doing them so I think I’m going to slip back into my training and clean my home like I’m at work but I’m gonna have a nice check list
lol i clean the house once a week but we dont have pets and my son has his own place in the garden which i do clean my hubby works from home so he has his own area to keep clean himself i will be going back to work soon so like you i will have to clean on my days off its hard x
Leave the dishes and pans in soak if doing them the following day , If the family did help by picking up after themselves you would not have as much to do on your day off , I am on my family daily to remind them to help otherwise it would all be left to me ,
They will help if I ask but often times I don’t like to ask I prefer to do it myself. They don’t mind the mess while they wait for me to clear it and I don’t mind them waiting. While the house does get messy, it doesn’t often get dirty.
I take some time each morning and each evening to take care of myself and then when me and my sister get together once a month or so we have a really good recharge
Have you watched The Organized Mum Method (TOMM)? She has some great lists that have helped me spend 45 min to an hour on housework Mon thru Fri. Then my weekends are free. Like your ideas and good luck with your channel going forward
@@deannday6930 it’s having the time Monday-Friday I work up to 10 hour shifts with an hour commute each way sometimes. My house can go from palace to pit in just one day and I also suspect I’m dealing with some sort of mental health issue which is making staying to a plan even harder. Methods like the fly lady, organised mum and the others that are out there seem to rely on the fact that no one is coming behind you destroying everything, you can complete the task list set before you and your not exhausted and complete overwhelmed by 2pm everyday. Today for example all I tried to do was ring my landlords and the trades men turned up wanting this that and the other so I have to change task, I start cleaning my dryer out and another trades person arrives so I have to stop doing that. This is my day off everyday off, no one lets me complete a task from start to finish

I can totally relate to what you’re saying. I had a large family and I was always the one who handled everything.

Sounds like you need a self care day my dear. Take a spa day or movie day. Then your batteries can be recharged.
