Gas Explosion, fire, levels building in Washington, D.C., one person injured

A Thursday morning gas explosion in southeast D.C. has left one person injured, officials said.
D.C. Fire and EMS said there was an explosion on the second floor of a building in the 1200 block of Marion Barry Avenue SE. According to authorities, an evacuation of the area had already taken place by firefighters due to an active gas leak.
