I've watched a few of these match reviews and nobody has mentioned Andy Irving. I thought he looked fairly solid again and I'd like to see a bit more of him. I don't suppose I will, but who knows?
Like Geo said on Hammerschat, for me, it's not "why was Kudus subbed" , but rather, "why is he continually starting on the left and the way he is?" Def showed some results of sorts. I still have yet to understand Lop on that. Irons.
💯 agree, for me until Fullkrug is fit,I’d go false 9:Bowen,Summerville left and Kudus on the right.Id have Soler in the 10,I love Paqueta and what he’s done for us,but with what’s going on for him for now I wouldn’t pick him. That doesn’t leave a space for Soucek he outside of two goals is as bad as Antonio this season.
Antonio can’t trap a pull to hold it up he’s shit at it worse than ever just bounces off him to the opposite players then they break out our week midfield
I said it from the very start of the season that we need to go with a 433 and not 4231. A lot of the players that we have brought in over the summer played in 433 setups. JL should have known this and it's down to him that we haven't changed to that formation from the start. 433 is supposed to be his favourable formation anyway so why has he refused to use it?
Stel I’d have Mo up front. His ball retention and finishing far better than Antonio. I only saw highlights and the Antonio effort when a pass to wide open Mo was poor and not something you’d see in a top team purring. Lucas is too loose. Once Soler gets to pace I think he’ll be number one starter. Happy for Dino and AWB could play in goal and have a good game. Tomas is the captain of his national team, he gets on the score sheet he never stops. I thought those attributes were what West Ham fans want they are to me. Great positive views from you as usual Stelios ⚒ COYI ⚒
@@WESTHAMVOICE Yeah... I just saw they scored two against Villa and drew earlier today. Good for them, but it shows you that they are improving and adjusting to the PL - I hope we can match their progress! 🤔
Hiya. Yeah I thought we played well generally and that’s two games ina row of good performances despite the 5-1 loss earlier. Perhaps J Lo is gradually showing his worth as a genius tactician. The Kudus situation is definitely worrying ; I thought he would have had a goal or assist by now compared, given his performance last season. I agree with you: it will only be fixed once Summer comes back to the left and perhaps Bowen plays as striker.
Thanks Stel...there is always some sort of brainfreeze that Lopi suffers from! It's either the starting line up or his substitutions...players that play well, get dropped...just not sure about him!

Perhaps the difference in the reaction to Tomas Soucek by the away support is because he reflects the qualities it takes to be an away fan. Historically it's a tough gig! It's hard work and takes 100% commitment and dedication . To keep going however badly form or results have been. Ready for the next challenge come what may.
Brentford having scored inside 30 seconds in their previous two games ,you’d think Stel,Lopetegui would have had plans for that situation.Inwould have put money on them scoring in the first minute if I was a betting man. His team selections are strange, but he does and is willing to make early and unpredictable changes unlike his predecessor did.I’m harsh on Soucek not because I don’t like him but outside of his goal he didn’t do or offer much.If Lopetegui starts him against Ipswich they’ll beat us,they’ll run him ragged ,after seeing them play Villa today. After watching them play Villa today,I’m a bit worried about how we will take them on next Saturday. Question Stel,is Lopetegui questioning the signings of last season,he clearly doesn’t rate all 3 ,Kudus,Alvarez and Mavropanos, they are all performing way below last season’s levels . I love Paqueta Stel, but with what’s going on now and it’s ramping up the betting scandal I would as a club give him a break and as a club some leave to get this situation sorted.
Cheers mate I think Soucek will start next week after lopeteguis post match interview As for the three signings of last season… no I do think he rates them otherwise we would have seen concerted efforts to sell them Would have been easy to sell Alvarez and kudus and bring in at least £130m just for those two players alone As for Paqueta maybe it is the right time to give him a break but I would imagine that will happen when we know when this hearing is going to take place
I think that JLO has done a good thing by taking of the flair players as it shows not only to them but also to the rest of the team what will happen if they don’t perform, holds us in good stead for the rest of the season
Hi stel I don’t think it’s harsh on mav he’s cost us goals at the end of the day but I thought he did Gerry well as LB which is where I think he’s great cover for AWB

I don't think Emerson has been that good defending so yes, dropping him is logical. I'd stick Bowen up front, Kudus on the right with Summerville on the left. Soucek has actually kept and distributed the ball better in the last few weeks so keep him in midfield with Soler but then we have Guido and Alvarez who are very slow and Paqueta who is underperforming and a liability at times. We've also got Irving and Fullkrug as possibilities, so a real conundrum to balance the midfield and attack.
Stel.Loppy got it all wrong with Kudus. He is not a left winger. Kudus is very frustrated. Playing Kudus on the left is like putting Diesel in an electric car. Its obvious it wont work. I support Loppy but he has got most of his selections wrong. Kudus gotta play in the middle
Lopetegui is still struggling to find his most dependable starting XI. I think he has been disappointing with what he has seen from the likes of Paqueta and Kudus. Both those players look like they do not want to be at West Ham. He seems to have found a balance for the defence and now needs to start on the midfield and forward line. If Kudus plays he needs to be on the right with Bowen in the middle. Regrettably I think Antonio is done. Pleased that Andy Irving is getting minutes, he looks a tidy and hard working player.
I think Lopetegui just hasn’t had his best 11 because of lack of match fitness / injuries etc Kudus does need to be moved away from the left and if it means dropping Antonio for it then so be it
Kudus is looking very average on the left, Bowen however is looking very average on the right, which is both his and Kudus' best position imo ; - I think i know who I'd drop and I thought so before the first game. But yeah, I too am just a RUclips expert, Lops is in the hot seat! Despite all the negative noise, not a bad point away from home. COYI ⚒️
Evening Stel.but, c'mon fella. Soucek - if he doesn't score he doesn't;t touch the ball and for a midfield player either an attacking or defensive one, thats simply not good enough. C'mon mate, get real. He's a great club man and a good squad player but thats it. However, if Lopetegui is like Moyes and anti flair players, then we are only left with Soucek. And that, my friend, is fucking sad.
I’m inclined to disagree more and more about Soucek with the general fan base mate Here’s why… he may hardly touch the ball but usually when he does it results in him scoring I’d honestly rather that than Paqueta showboating, touching the ball 100 times more that Soucek and every touch resulting in nothing I know Soucek isn’t the best player in the squad by a long shot but he’s been more effective than Antonio, Bowen, kudus and Paqueta so far this season mate
