Random but... since the toilet lid was open. Everyone should know that if you flush a toilet without closing the lid not only do you risk splashes on the seat and around the toilet but also because flushing releases minute droplets from the toilet water (human waste water) into the air, which later settle on the other surfaces. These droplets can even travel upto 6--7 feets high up in the air. So everytime I see people who have their toilets with the lid open I only think of the surface of human waste that might be covering everything near the toilet too. So CLOSE the lid after finishing your business and BEFORE flushing. And also keep it closed just because it looks nicer etc.
