Thank you! You made my day! 🥰 I got my Barbie fixed that was sitting in a corner without head for 25 years. I knew that one day I can fix her. Happy tears.
You are the best! Thank you so much! I just bought a preloved Totally Hair Barbie, and the previous owner never mentioned her head was broken. Luckily I searched for a fix and put her head back in couple of minutes! I wish we knew this in the nineties, sooo many neckless Barbies 😭
Thank you so much - my daughter broke "my" old Barbie tonight and I used your vid to fix it. I didn't need to totally rebuild like you did but would not got it if it weren't for your instruction.
This was so helpful! I have tried everything from hot glue, superglue, to plastic weld .. but failed. But this seems like it will work the best and most efficiently. Can’t wait to try!
Ok will try this with an alternate to the acrylic which just covers that broken neck bit I guess? Also makes it easier to put the wobbly neck piece & head on too.
Thank you for this video I have a few Barbies whose heads broke off but putting the head on with the broken piece is not the same and Barbie has no neck after!
Thank you for that video. I am glad you could fix it and have a keepsake from your past. I wasn’t as lucky to have the plug in my doll so had to buy some online which I hope will work…my My scene doll is like 20 years old 😅
Thank you for your kind words! I have a few My Scene dolls that are waiting to be cleaned up and dressed. I feel like I don't want to change their face or hair because they are discontinued and there will be no more of them anytime soon, so I want to preserve the ones I got.
I have the same problem I found another body with a neck that’s not damaged and I wonder if I could put the neck joint back in without breaking the neck.
Looks like the Harry Potter dolls have really long prongs inside their head too! So as no pieces were broken around the neck I could easily push it back in after warming the head up first.
If there's plastic broken off you need something that would replace it and still allow for head/neck articulation point. I really can't think of many solutions... maybe some worbla thermoplastic or something of the kind.
Thank you for asking. You have a couple of options: 1. Buy a new peg 2. Get a donor Barbie and use her peg to fix the one you like more 3. You will need to fill the neck with thermoplastic, insert short screw in the neck that will resemble the top of the peg and put the head on. I believe neck won't pivot anymore, but it with move side to side.

What about ever after high or monster high? Does it work the same?
Should work the same

Almost seems like all barbies were just meant to crack like this at the neck... its sad
But this method seems worth trying
What if the peg is missing?
