I’m from the East Coast and the thing I love about WA coasts is that it is untouched. On the East Coast it’s a very rare thing. I didn’t even know what a coastline Looked like naturally until I moved out here. Let me warn you-if this golf course is built this will be a disaster and it’s only the beginning of the end.
Please no golf courses. If anything make it a place for camping with trails for people and bikes to enjoy nature, instead of a golf course that most people in Washington state don't care for. Once it's altered and many of the trees are replaced by grass, it's never going to be the same again.
It is a great place right now. The poverty rate will be higher for those in or near it. Homelessness is next because more housing for even more vacation homes. Not everything needs to be an air bnb and golf rich mans wonderland. Like it so much build affordable housing for kids and families with your investment group.
This is an awful idea. The golf course would completely ruin westports charm. It would also have a gentrification problem. A sport that only the wealthy can afford to play and making westport a rich Hotspot would drive the local residents out. It could also toxify the waters and cause other environmental damage
Golf courses must be THE MOST inefficient, wasteful, inequitable and stupid use of land there is. Why is King 5 running this one-sided infomercial for this initiative? Laughable.

This was tried in the early 2000…Chuck Maples via Westport by the Sea went bankrupt crushing local residents.
We don't need anorher golf course. This will destroy Westport and price people out of their homes in that area.
